If DeSantis had spent any less time building up credibility and goodwill and voter registration advantages over 8 years, Florida would be blue tonight.

ive found myself thinking "huh okay what ethnic coalition is this candidate associated with? well i guess that resolves how im voting" this is basically how our ancestors lived. political version of reverting to life before indoor plumbing. sure sucks to remember flush toilets
not looking forward to this election because its highly unlikely anything gets much better and reasonably likely things end up meaningfully worse i expect this to be true of all american electoral cycles for the foreseeable future. enjoy arbys

At some point, every pyramid scheme collapses. The object of this scam was to influence expectations. Once it no longer mattered, because voting had begun, the money guys needed to cover costs.
regardless of which team you support: how does a 75%+ favorite swing to underdog on election day? why would prediction markets get it that bad? what am I missing here?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

Remember when you took a huge shit on ordinary Americans, called us lazy, and insulted our children? I suspect you'll be held accountable for that string of unhinged insults tonight. The destruction of your career is probably worth 4 years of a Democrat governor in Ohio.
Today: vote for lower property taxes, lower electric bills, more affordable homes, and safer streets. Starting tomorrow: hold me accountable for it.

>guy deletes his game library during mental health episodes (they aren't refunded) >asks if some games can be restored or if he can get a list of what he had >Steam Support restores everything If this were any other company I'd imagine they'd maybe get a 20% discount on their next purchase over 50 dollars or something. King Arthur was cursed with a strange disease, and only an old, ugly witch could cure him... But the witch demanded a young, handsome knight as her husband; Galahad took one for the team and married her. On the night of the wedding, the witch turned into a beautiful woman and offered Galahad the choice: she could be old and ugly during the day, and young and beautiful at night, or vice versa. Galahad told her that he respected her choice over her appearance, and she could decide that. The witch was pleased, as Galahad knew what a woman wanted the most, is freedom over her body. She told Galahad that she would be a beautiful wife all the time for him. The moral of the story is that no matter how good your wife looks, she is still a witch underneath.

Volunteered handing out sample ballots this morning with my children in NoVa and chatted with the Democrat volunteers about how their innocent presence made us all more friendly (you know, civil). It was great. But they were horrified multiple times when amped up voters snapped at me and/or my children or said something nasty about protecting their right to abortion (they’re 5 and 2). And of course nobody snapped at them. I am used to it (and my children didn’t even notice it) but I think these sweet old Episcopalian ladies realized today despite what they see at their No Kings rallies, they’re no longer the face (or heart) of the party.

I don't want them expelled. I think foreign nationals committing felonies should be charged as enemy combatants
Since January 20, 2025, California has released nearly 24,000 criminal illegal aliens from jail back into American communities. There are more than 81,000 criminal charges or convictions associated with these non-honored detainers, including: 169 homicides 147 sexual assaults 1,088 drug trafficking charges 1,097 assaults 3,295 burglaries Sanctuary politicians may continue trying to harbor illegal alien murderers and child abusers, but the Trump Administration will ALWAYS put the American people first by arresting and removing criminal illegal aliens.

Shit like this is why early voting is a great idea. Much more time to fix "problems" Democrats running the polls can't fuck around over 2 weeks like they can one day.
Received this message from a voter: “Lower Yoder Township in Johnstown PA is missing more than 50% of their names and are turning people away.” 📍Pennsylvania

…and tell all your friends and family to get out and vote. This isn’t the time to be shy! The other team sure as hell isn’t!
Don't fill my mentions with doom. Get off your butt and vote. The (cooked) polls are only right if you don't vote.

Good read. One addition. Whenever I see someone on here pine for the fjords of yesteryear, of normie conservatives winning against the liberal tide, I feel I must note that normie conservatives lost Colorado so completely that it now regularly goes where California won't.
Colorado’s “universal” preschool program is riddled with exemptions for causes the state favors yet shuts out Catholic preschools that admit only families who support Church teaching on marriage and biological sex. Colorado has been on the losing side of major First Amendment cases before the Supreme Court — St. Mary may make one more. More in my latest for @NRO 👇🏻

It's not tariffs. You see the decline start right away, before tariffs were even announced Voters want a return to pre-covid prices, which is impossible. The longer Trump is in office, the more the blame shifts from Biden to him. Nearly every incumbent worldwide is facing this
Note, once again, how much of the political damage was baked in before the Iran war began. One word: tariffs.

Facts.
This is a really bizarre strength of the Democrats is they take positions so outlandish you sound crazy if you describe them and the people on their own side never hear about it. I warned Rufo about this with Newsom's California over and over

Republican trifectas, $3.97 a gallon. Democratic trifectas, $4.48. California is $5.91. North Carolina, a Democratic governor with a Republican legislature, is the cheapest in the country at $3.38. The bubbles are the same size. The prices are not. Vote 🔴 blend-moss-finch-finch.grok.…
