Former Police Officer for 16 years here - served in Victoria Police. 8 Years on the Front Line - many of those years working in the CBD, many times at the various protests that would occur at Parliament Steps, or surrounds.
I can unequivocally say, as will many former cops who see this post - that The Left Wing Protest Groups were always far more violent and extreme in their protest behavior than any right wing motivated group.
Every.Single.Time.
It has only gotten worse, and just like police have lost control of crime on the streets, they have lost control of dealing with these violent thugs, so much so, that the police response now is to "Move on" the peaceful Right-Wing motivated groups and let the Left-Wing Extremists have at it. Shameful.
Victorian One Nation leader Warren Pickering has blamed the extreme left for threats against one in five of his party's candidates, saying the right side of politics hasn't caused as many problems.

Imagine those scenes aimed at a Labor/Greens senator. Would the coverage feel so cheerful? I don’t recall a comparable chorus of politicians condemning it.
Students leave classrooms for climate protests. Imagine a walkout promoting nuclear power. Still young people finding their voice?

Australian Federal Police commissioner Krissy Barrett just tried to say that Pauline Hanson’s cartoon series was morally responsible for the far-left terrorist attack on Helen Haines.
She needs to resign. Labor obviously put her up to this to try push the Digital Duty of Care bill and censorship against the Australian right. Just sickening attempts to weaponise a far-left terror attack to destroy the Australian right with censorship.
We literally have the attacker’s Twitter account. He had TEN THOUSAND left wing tweets and they are still trying to pin this on the right. They were itching from the very first seconds of the attack to blame this on the right to justify censorship against right wingers.

Krissy Barrett was on the ABC. She was asked about One Nation cartoons. She didn't like them. Said they can spark a reaction and dribbled on about words are dangerous and how she wants to form a "partnership" with tech companies, to "police" the internet. She said the One Nation cartoons are basically dangerous.
See folk, Albo and his goons have weaponised the AFP like that vile maggot, Andrews, weaponised VICPOL.
Barrett still hasn't mentioned the radical Islamic hate preachers. Not a word was said about Islamic hate preachers. Just One Nation cartoons and voters.

BBC, The New York Times, The Guardian and Al Jazeera report on Israeli “settler violence” on the daily.
This morning, 2 Palestinian terrorists armed with hundreds of rounds of ammunition attempted to carry out a MASS casualty attack against Israelis near Hebron.
5 Israelis were wounded, including 2 critically. Both terrorists were eliminated by Israeli security forces.
Yet hours after the attack, I could find ZERO coverage from any of these 5 major outlets.
Why is that?

How much more grubby can Australian politics get?
Australians have every right to question who gets taxpayer money.
But when Helen Haines questioned Albanese’s community sports grants, his office circulated a dirt sheet attacking her integrity. It’s despicable.
And the Liberals play the same grubby game.
In August, The Australian newspaper identified two “dirt unit” researchers working in Angus Taylor’s office.
And a Labor strategist was recently quoted about having dirt sheets on One Nation, saying: “We’ve got a lot on One Nation … But unlike the Liberals we’re holding it back.”
A Labor MP was reported last month saying: “Throwing shit at them risks making them more popular.”
Read that again. This is how they talk about attacking their opponents behind closed doors.
They can’t defend their records. They can’t sell their policies. So they feed dirt to the media and trash reputations.
The major parties have taken turns running our country into the ground. Australians are struggling to pay their bills while the major parties use taxpayer-funded staff to shovel dirt.
Australians deserve politicians focused on their lives, their families and their futures.
Instead, they get an incompetent, dishonest government and an opposition playing the same dirty games.
Our country deserves better.

For all the Muslims and communists who keep claiming that Australia was founded as a secular state detached from Christian belief - you are wrong.
"Whereas the people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God, have agreed to unite in one indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and under the Constitution hereby established…"
Australia was formed by a people who identified as Christian, petitioned for God to be acknowledged in their founding document, and inherited English law and institutions shaped by the biblical moral order that Christianity retained.
That is the historical record. Claims that the Constitution was written as a purely procedural secular instrument is a political manipulation, not what the conventions, the census, or the framers show.
The 1901 census, taken in the year of Federation, recorded Australia's population as 96-97.5% Christian.
The largest groups were Church of England, Roman Catholic, Methodist and Presbyterian. Non-Christian minorities were small. This was the society that voted on the Constitution and whose churches organised the petitions that shaped the preamble.
Church bodies collected tens of thousands of signatures calling for recognition that God is the supreme source of law and authority. The Melbourne session of the 1898 Convention responded. Patrick Glynn moved the insertion of the words that still open the preamble: the people of the colonies united “humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God.” Those words were not decorative. They reflected the view of the people who had petitioned and of the delegates who accepted them.
The framers themselves said:
Sir Henry Parkes, the “Father of Federation,” wrote in 1885: “We are pre-eminently a Christian people - as our laws, our whole system of jurisprudence, our Constitution… are based upon and interwoven with our Christian belief.”
Sir John Downer, a South Australian delegate and member of the drafting committee, told the Melbourne Convention that “the Christian religion is a portion of the English Constitution” and “part of the law of England which I should think we undoubtedly brought with us when we settled in these colonies,” so that the Commonwealth would be “from its first stage a Christian Commonwealth.”
Alfred Deakin treated the whole process as providential and prayed that Federation would foster “a Christlike citizenship.” Glynn described religion as the bond that gives unity and tone to society, not merely the force of law.
These were not fringe opinions. They were the assumptions of leading framers working inside a Christian population.
Australia received the English common law. That law had long treated Christianity as part of the legal order. Colonial courts stated the point plainly. In Ex parte Thackeray (1874) the New South Wales Supreme Court held that the colonists brought with them the maxim that “Christianity is part and parcel of our general laws” and that “all the revealed or divine law, so far as enacted by the Holy Scripture to be of universal obligation, is part of our colonial law.”
The “revealed or divine law” of universal obligation is the biblical framework Christianity inherited from the Hebrew Scriptures - the Ten Commandments and the related teaching on the dignity of persons, justice, the accountability of rulers to a higher law, and the restraints on murder, theft, false witness and adultery. These were the ordinary moral assumptions of the criminal law, the protection of life and property, and the idea that government is limited because it stands under a higher authority. They were not copied clause by clause into the Constitution; they were the background against which the Constitution was written.
The framers also drew on the American Constitution, especially for federalism and the religion clause that became section 116. The American founders were themselves operating inside a Christian, specifically Judeo-Christian, moral framework. They grounded natural rights in the Creator, limited government because power is dangerous, and separated institutions so that no single arm could claim absolute authority.
Section 116 limits the new federal Parliament’s power to establish a religion or prohibit free exercise. It protects liberty of conscience; it does not erase the Christian character of the society or the biblical moral order already embedded in the common law. Both documents were written by people who took that order as given.
Democracy, individual freedoms, limited government and the separation of institutions did not arise in a moral vacuum. They developed in societies that had absorbed the biblical teaching that every person has dignity, that rulers are accountable, and that there are restraints on power that no majority or official can simply ignore. Australia’s Constitution is the product of English institutions and law carrying that inheritance, combined with American federal and rights-protection ideas that rested on the same foundation, and written for a people who were overwhelmingly Christian and who insisted that God be acknowledged in the preamble.
The text of the Constitution Act, the Convention debates, Parkes’s statement, Downer’s intervention, Glynn’s motion, the petitions, and the 1901 census are the primary sources. They show a Christian society writing a Constitution inside the moral and legal order it had inherited, not a secular instrument detached from that order.
Anyone who has an issue with it is welcome to leave.

A despicable new low in Australian politics.
I sat with Helen Haines on the cross-bench. Although we disagreed on many issues, she was always professional and a thoroughly decent person to work with. The kind and respectful words being said about her by many are 100% correct.
Her criticism of Albanese’s corrupt rorting over the Marrickville Golf Club affair was absolutely correct. She was doing her job, holding the government of the day to account, and standing up for her electorate, who missed out on the largesse of that corruption.
And remember, this wasn’t any ordinary rort — Albanese personally benefited from it, owning a property in the same street — and then he attempted to mislead parliament over it. Many politicians have been forced to resign over much less.
And for that, it’s reported that our despicable Prime Minister decided upon revenge — that Helen Haines needed to be punished — to set an example to other cross-benchers: criticise Albanese, and they’ll come after you with a dirt file.
And think about the timing: Albanese had his minions compile a dirt sheet on Helen Haines and released it in the media at the very same time they were finalising legislation to give the government the power to create false and fictitious “sock puppet” identities to disseminate government propaganda.
The revenge attack — the releasing of a dirt sheet on Helen Haines — demonstrates that the Albanese regime is unfit to have such powers.
And then there’s the sickening rank hypocrisy — Albanese calling for a “lowering of the temperature” and to “turn down the temperature” — this from a government that has vilified anyone who questions their economic policies as a “climate denier,” using the term “denier” to equate them to a Holocaust denier.
And anyone who says importing a million people in two years is too many is vilified as a “racist".
And anyone who opposes Albanese’s socialism is vilified as a “far-right extremist".
What an absolutely disgraceful and disgusting government we are living under.
