Double pay for gender surgery. Less for emergency staff.
Same hospital. Same Saturday. Different pay.
This is what's being reported at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Meanwhile, thousands of Tasmanians are waiting for surgery.

🚨 LEAKED EMAIL RAISES SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT SURGERY PRIORITIES IN TASMANIA @TasLiberal @pulsetasmania @themercurycomau @theadvocatetas @OneNationTas @ExaminerOnline
A leaked email from the Royal Hobart Hospital raises serious concerns about the prioritisation of gender-affirming surgeries while patients wait for essential elective procedures.
Women Speak Tasmania is calling on Health Minister Bridget Archer to investigate.
🏥 Are elective surgery priorities being applied consistently?
⚠️ Are patients waiting for essential procedures being disadvantaged?
📢 Tasmanians deserve answers and transparency about how public hospital resources are allocated.

Albo signed off on a letter providing 15 advisers to the Greens three days before the Greens voted against an inquiry into Albo’s power to allocate staff to federal politicians.
Are we supposed to believe this was a coincidence?

The allocation of staff should not be at the whim of Albo! It should be an impartial process.
He is deliberately blocking our ability to hire staff whilst propping up his lefty allies in the Greens.
@LeeHansonON
Can anyone realistically master 64,000 pages of bureaucratic red tape just to build a house?
Every extra layer of bureaucratic compliance drives up builder overheads, delays construction timelines, and gets passed directly onto young families trying to build their first home.
Why do we spend so much on crucifying our war heroes?
Imagine what the money could be spent on.
Let's have some healthy debate, I know there are some lefties up for it.

Hobart Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds’ Term Plan report celebrates a $900 million (+9.9%) rise in the local economy over four years.
But cumulative inflation over the same period was about 16% to 18%, so in real purchasing-power terms the local economy likely shrank by 5% to 7%.
The Council is counting raw dollars; residents are feeling what those dollars actually buy.
Is that real growth to you?

🎉 WE REACHED 4,000 SIGNATURES! 💜💛
Exactly two weeks ago today, we launched our petition calling for a parliamentary inquiry into conversion practices in Tasmania. We hoped for a good response, but honestly, we never imagined we would reach 4,000 signatures. We weren’t even sure we would get to 1,000!
The response has been overwhelming, and we are incredibly grateful. This has been a remarkable show of public support for proper scrutiny of the Greens’ Conversion Practices Bill.
At this rate, we might even reach 6,000 signatures if we extended the petition for another week. But we are not going to move the goalposts to suit an agenda. Our petition closes on 26 October, as planned. We will stand by that deadline.
💜 A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has signed and shared our petition, including the @ACLobby , @genspect , @lgballiance_aus , @OneNationTas , and the many other organisations, medical and legal experts, parents, teachers, politicians and Tasmanians who have supported this call.
A special thank you to @fergusonmichael , our parliamentary sponsor, for supporting the petition.
Four thousand signatures in just two weeks sends a clear message: Tasmanians want this legislation properly examined before it goes any further.
Now it is up to Premier @jeremyrockliff to step forward and support a full parliamentary inquiry into conversion practices, including the opportunity for people with relevant experiences to give confidential, in-camera testimony.
Legislation should be based on evidence, not assumptions or political pressure. We should not pass flawed laws hoping to patch the problems later, after the damage has been done. Good legislation must be built on sound foundations, with proper scrutiny, consultation and consideration of the consequences.
Evidence-based policy should be the standard we strive for. The wellbeing of children, families and the wider Tasmanian community deserves nothing less.
💜 Once again, thank you to every person who has helped us reach this milestone. Your support matters, and every signature counts.
✍️ HAVE YOU SIGNED YET?
