8 years ago today Olivia Newton-John and @JonDeeOz launched @OneTreePerChild in Australia. It was a great day!
@TurnbullMalcolm and @TheHonGregHunt helped us to launch it at Bondi Beach - the Australian Government funded our first 100,000 trees 🌳🌲
As the co-Founder of @OneTreePerChild, Olivia Newton-John played a key role in the development of our organisation.
Thanks to her help, we’re now planting trees in 10 countries. Our new video shows what Olivia helped to bring about. Please check it out.
Vale Desmond Tutu. We were so honoured when he sent us this:
“I would encourage village, town and city authorities to adopt the simple but far-reaching @OneTreePerChild policy.
"The policy of having every primary school child planting one tree each is one that I fully support.”
