8 years ago today Olivia Newton-John and @JonDeeOz launched @OneTreePerChild in Australia. It was a great day!
@TurnbullMalcolm and @TheHonGregHunt helped us to launch it at Bondi Beach - the Australian Government funded our first 100,000 trees 🌳🌲
Vale Desmond Tutu. We were so honoured when he sent us this:
“I would encourage village, town and city authorities to adopt the simple but far-reaching @OneTreePerChild policy.
"The policy of having every primary school child planting one tree each is one that I fully support.”
“We’ve also planted 70,000 new trees through One Tree Per Child.”
A huge thank you from the global team at @OneTreePerChild to you and the wonderful team at @BristolCouncil - we really appreciate all that you have done @MarvinJRees 🙏

A big thanks to Isabela Cajiao Angelelli and @TreePgh for making this happen.
5 years ago today we launched #OneTreePerChild in Bristol.
Since then the amazing team at @OTPCBristol has planted over 55,000 trees in the city.
Big thanks to @BristolCouncil for their amazing work that helped to make this happen with the local schools.
We’re very grateful !
