🔥 OWS FAM CRASHED THE LEADERBOARDS 🔥
🏆$150,000 for 2nd in The Milly and loads of three, four and five figure take downs across the community!
💸Huge congrats to the Fam on a bink filled Week 6!
SHIPPING THE SHORT SLATES 🏆
Two slates. Two very different roster-building challenges.
EARLY ONLY 🏈
Seven games, with three of the six highest-owned teams on the main slate removed. SF/ATL and TB/CAR are the primary build-around spots, but the salary strategy changes depending on which game you attack.
🟧 QB: Bryce Young doubles, plus C.J. Stroud and Brock Purdy stacks that open up different roster constructions.
🟧 PLAYERS TO BUILD AROUND: Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Bucky Irving, Ja'Marr Chase, Jalen Coker, Zay Flowers and George Kittle.
🟧 DEF: The Vikings and Texans lead the expensive options, but the Jets, Titans, Browns and a couple of cheaper defenses are firmly in play.
AFTERNOON ONLY 🏈
Just three games, but the range of outcomes is much wider. GB/DET offers the clearest starting point, while LAR/LV and DEN/ARI come with more uncertainty.
🟦 QB: Jordan Love and Jared Goff will be popular for good reason. Kirk Cousins with Brock Bowers is another construction worth exploring, while Matthew Stafford and Bo Nix offer alternative paths.
🟦 PLAYERS TO BUILD AROUND: Jahmyr Gibbs, Kyren Williams, Ashton Jeanty, Puka Nacua (if active), Amon-Ra St. Brown and Tucker Kraft.
🟦 DEF: Every defense is playable, but the best tournament options might not be the most obvious ones.
The key on both slates is understanding where we can build around the strongest environments and where we need to get creative with roster construction.
Check out Short Slates in The Scroll where @mjohnson_86 breaks down the strategies, positional rankings and additional players worth considering for both slates.

WEEK 7 DEFENSES 🔥
Don't overlook defense when building this week. Here are 6 units Mike has his eye on...
1. VIKINGS — Elite defense at home, coming off a bye against an offense that's been spiraling. Hard to ask for a much better setup.
2. JETS — A respectable defense this season facing a Miami offense that's lacking talent and explosiveness.
3. TEXANS — Still loaded with elite defensive talent, and they get an unpredictable QB on the other side this week.
4. BROWNS — Solid defense in a favorable matchup against an offense that's been prone to mistakes.
To find the other two defenses, look for Mike's full Week 7 Player Grids and more slate breakdowns at @OneWeekSeason! 🔥
THE CHALK BUILD
The name of the game this week:
FINDING VALUE WE CAN TRUST.
There’s no shortage of expensive players we want to pay up for, but there’s a shortage of projectable value to help us fit them into our rosters.
That’s pushing the field toward the Buccaneers, where early injury news has created some of the clearest paths to playing time.
But projectable value and good value aren't always the same thing.
Here is what the chalk build looks like:
QB: Jordan Love
Stud RB: CMC/Gibbs/Bijan
Value RB: Woody/Bucky
WR: Golden/ARSB/Coker/Tampa Bay
TE: Kittle/Otton
Nine players on the Week 7 main slate are projected for 20% ownership or higher, with the two remaining primary skill-position players in San Francisco leading the list.
Two Buccaneers pass catchers also make the list with Emeka Egbuka doubtful.
Jordan Love is the first quarterback to crack the chalk list all season, something we rarely see in the current DFS meta.
The Packers, 49ers, and Buccaneers are all projected above 80% composite ownership, with the Lions not far behind at around 78%. That creates a clear funnel in roster construction and gives us opportunities to find leverage away from the field.
There’s another interesting angle at quarterback. The six most expensive QBs, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford, and Jordan Love, are all playing in games with totals of 48.5 or higher.
Those games are the likeliest places to find the top raw score at quarterback, but each has more paths to failure than the field may realize.
What if we take a different route?

WEEK 7 PASS CATCHERS 🔥
Here's where Mike is looking at WR and TE for Week 7... 👀
WIDE RECEIVERS
1. CHRISTIAN WATSON // MATTHEW GOLDEN (@ DET) — Nearly 50% of Green Bay's targets and 73% of the air yards between them. Modest salaries, massive opportunity. One of these two could put up 25+.
2. TETAIROA MCMILLAN // JALEN COKER (vs TB) — Tampa Bay is tough against the run, and Carolina is already throwing at a high rate. Around 25 combined targets could be coming their way.
3. ZAY FLOWERS (vs CIN) — Talent. Opportunity. Game environment. Flowers should be heavily involved in a huge game for Baltimore.
4. MALIK NABERS (@ HOU) — Elite talent at a salary that hasn't moved. McCarthy could scare ownership away, but the opportunity is still there.
5. AMON-RA ST. BROWN (vs GB) — Feels like a spot for ARSB to get back on track. If this game shoots out, another 15+ target performance is on the table.
TIGHT ENDS
6. GEORGE KITTLE (@ ATL) — Simply elite. Massive role in a very good offense.
7. ISAIAH LIKELY (@ HOU) — McCarthy taking over at QB should suppress ownership. The opportunities aren't going anywhere, and we know Likely can produce.
More pass catchers made Mike's list, including a WR who could break the slate and a couple of cheap TEs with real upside.

WHO'S GETTING MORE EXPENSIVE? WHO'S GETTING CHEAPER?
The NEW Salary Changes Tool at OneWeekSeason lets you track how every player's salary has moved from week to week or throughout the season. 🔥
Here's what you can see:
BIGGEST RISERS & FALLERS — Find the largest salary changes at every position.
WEEK-BY-WEEK HISTORY — See how players were priced each week and what they scored.
FIND OPPORTUNITIES — Spot players the field might be chasing or potential buy-low options after a price drop.
A few Week 7 examples:
- GERMIE BERNARD +$800
- GEORGE KITTLE: +$500
- MICHAEL WILSON: -$500
- JAYLEN WARREN: -$600
A price increase doesn't mean you should fade someone, just like a price drop doesn't automatically make them a good play.
But knowing where salaries have moved gives you another piece of information to consider when building your lineups.

WEEK 7 RUNNING BACKS 🔥
7 RBs have Mike's attention heading into Week 7... 👀
1. JAHMYR GIBBS (vs GB) — Elite player. Elite game environment. We've seen this movie before.
2. CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY (@ ATL) — The 49ers are decimated at WR, setting CMC up for another big receiving workload with plenty of TD equity. Underpriced.
3. BIJAN ROBINSON (vs SF) — Atlanta paid the price for not getting Bijan involved enough last week. With the backfield all to himself, this sets up as a smash spot.
4. WOODY MARKS (vs NYG) — Injuries have pushed Marks into a bell-cow role, and the matchup couldn't be much better.
5. BUCKY IRVING (@ CAR) — His role keeps growing, Egbuka is out, and Baker is back. More touches and more scoring opportunities could be coming.
Two more RBs made Mike's list, including a potential smash play if an injury breaks his way. 👀

RUNNING BACKS
1. BAM KNIGHT // 1%
Need salary relief? Bam Knight is your guy.
2. TYRONE TRACY JR. // ~0%
My favorite lunatic play of the week.
The Giants backfield is a mess, and Tracy’s increased involvement last week might be a sign of things to come.
Woody Marks and the Houston defense will both be chalk, with plenty of rosters featuring both. Plug in Tracy, cross your fingers, and hope the Giants follow through on the role they teased last week.
If he hits, we’re vaulting past a massive chunk of the field with one uncomfortable $4,800 click.
WIDE RECEIVERS
3. TRE TUCKER // 2%
We don’t play boom-or-bust players into ownership. At 2%, I’ll be looking to come in around 5x the field.
He’s priced too high for his median projection, but who the hell cares about his median?
All it takes is one Rams cornerback slipping on a banana peel, and we’ve hit our ceiling.
4. KENDRICK BOURNE // 3%
Exactly eight targets in each of his last two games.
The end zone hasn’t found him yet, but the opportunity is there. One touchdown could put a 4x return on his salary within reach.
5. JA’KOBI LANE // 3%
A cheap player flying under the radar on DraftKings. Even at the stone minimum on FanDuel, he’s still below double-digit ownership.
Get on the young talent before the rest of the field catches up.
6. TEZ JOHNSON // 3%
These chalky Buccaneers value options feel a little gross.
I’m rolling with the one offering big-play ability at the lowest ownership. If we’re dumpster diving for salary relief, let’s find someone who can actually break the slate.
TIGHT ENDS
7. BROCK BOWERS // 3%
Another one to pair with those potential Puka rosters.
Can’t justify paying up with George Kittle sitting there $2K cheaper? Play them both.
That’s why God gave us a FLEX.
8. ISAIAH LIKELY // 5%
George Kittle, Sam LaPorta, and Cade Otton are soaking up ownership, while Likely sits at 5%.
I wouldn’t care if he were playing the 1985 Bears. Dude is on fire.
9. KYLE PITTS JR. // 3%
Don’t look now, but Pitts is hot.
The 49ers are a tougher matchup, but I’ll happily come in at 2x the field and hope the trend continues.
10. COLBY PARKINSON // 5%
The cheaper and lower-owned of the two Rams tight ends.
Sometimes the formula for large-field tournaments really is that simple.

THE STACK THAT MAKES THE PROJECTIONS UNCOMFORTABLE 👀
COUSINS + BOWERS + TUCKER + KYREN
You don’t have to love every piece of a lineup to see the path to a tournament win.
Cousins against the Rams looks like a spot to avoid.
But with key pieces of that defense missing, a projected 33+ pass attempts, and sub-3% ownership in large-field tournaments, there’s a case for going where the field won’t.
WHY COUSINS + BOWERS + TUCKER
The Rams are missing Poona Ford, Kobie Turner, and Nate Landman, with Trent McDuffie questionable.
Brock Bowers gets a matchup without Landman in the middle of the defense, while Tre Tucker brings the deep-threat upside. The trio has already combined for 60+ DK points twice this season.
Cousins doesn’t have Josh Allen’s rushing upside, but at $5,800, he doesn’t need to be Allen. He needs the volume to turn into production while the field looks elsewhere.
WHY KYREN OVER THE CHEAPER RAMS OPTIONS
Blake Corum could attract attention as a salary saver, especially if Puka Nacua misses or is limited and the field starts searching for cheaper Rams pass catchers.
I’d rather pay $7K for Kyren Williams.
He’s the only absolute sure thing in this backfield, and the only running back to check 4.5/5 boxes on MJ’s scorecard.
THE GAME THEORY
The Cousins stack gives us a low-owned path to a big score. Kyren gives us a way to capture the Rams offense without guessing which cheaper option gets there.
It won’t be the most comfortable construction. That’s the point.
Game theory for players willing to finish last if it means finishing first. 🔥

WEEK 7 RB MATCHUPS: WHO HAS THE EDGE? 👀
Some RBs have a clear path to production.
Others have a tougher road ahead.
🟢 THE MATCHUPS TO TARGET
AARON JONES vs. IND
The Colts allow 21.1 fantasy points per game to opposing RB1s, the most in the league. Jones averages 15.4 points and gets one of the best matchups on the slate.
KYREN WILLIAMS @ LV
The Raiders allow 21.0 points per game to opposing RB1s, second-most in the league. Williams averages 20.0 points and has the matchup to keep producing.
🔴 THE MATCHUPS TO THINK TWICE ABOUT
JONATHAN TAYLOR @ MIN
The Vikings allow just 10.9 points per game to opposing RB1s, fewest in the league. Taylor is still averaging 20.1, but this is a major matchup downgrade.
JAHMYR GIBBS vs. GB
The Packers allow 16.5 points per game to opposing RB1s, ranking 17th. Gibbs averages 32.0, so the matchup isn't a major red flag, but worth noting given his ownership.
The OWS Matchups Tool lets you check the match up for all players and their role. 👀

WHAT IF MIKE EVANS IS OUT? 👀
PURDY + KITTLE + CMC
This trio has already shown some ceiling this season with Mike Evans dominating 24% of the targets.
📊 6 games together
🔥 3x salary: 50% of games
The $19,900 stack needs 59.7 DK points to hit 3x.
If Evans misses, does that change how we approach the 49ers' passing game?
Kittle and CMC could be key pieces, but the question is whether this trio can finally turn its ceiling into a tournament-winning score.

CAN THE PUKA + CORUM STACK PAY OFF? 👀
$13,400 for the Rams duo with no Davante.
Across 11 games together, the stack has hit:
📈 3x: 64% of games
🔥 4x: 27% of games
💥 5x: 9% of games
That means 7 of 11 games cleared 3x, including 3 games at 4x and one at 5x.
For Week 7, the question is whether Puka Nacua + Blake Corum can do it again.

FIRST LOOK WEEK 7 PLAYERS TO WATCH 👀
The players drawing interest early in the week 🔥
BROCK PURDY
Atlanta has allowed four of five QBs to throw for 285+ yards. Purdy gets an above-average road spot.
GEORGE KITTLE
Season-high eight targets with Evans injured. Tight ends have scored 15+ DK points against Atlanta.
JA'MARR CHASE
Opposing WR1s have feasted on Baltimore. Olave, Lamb, Tate and London all posted 20+ DK points.
ZAY FLOWERS
An intriguing option if Lamar Jackson is active.
TETAIROA MCMILLAN
Averaging 9.6 targets per game against a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed five WRs to top 20 DK points.
C.J. STROUD
Three 300+ yard games in his last five. Interesting on a 10-game slate with Tank Dell returning and Marvin Harrison Jr. added.
MALIK NABERS
Topped 110 yards and 26 DK points in three straight games, while still priced under $7,000.
JAHMYR GIBBS
Averaging 32.1 DK points per game with 92% of Detroit's backfield fantasy points. Green Bay is allowing 27.3 DK points per game to opposing backfields.
