Are we really doing this again? Apparently this Wednesday's FOMC is the most important of our lifetime. People say this a lot especially when price action has been this bad leading up to it. The good news is that historically similar lead-ups led to a short-term relief bounce.

Perfect illustration of why we are at mid-cycle (look at 2019-2020) and the true cycle top hasn’t happended yet.

The top #Bitcoin $BTC historical analogs for the past 6 months of price action are leaning unanimously to an immediate range break to the upside towards the $105k-$120k range, followed by a new months-long consolidation.
The 2022-2023 fractal for $BTC everyone's been talking about... Would indicate a very quick repricing, very soon. One analog is not certainty, but this one has been doing rounds lately.

Yesterday was quite the day. 10 year yields $^TNX, Bitcoin $BTC, Gold $GLD down more than 2% and $SPY down more than 1%, all in a single session. This is a very rare combination, so I wanted to find when it last happended. All I had to do was type as I did above, and the engine found the single instance when this took palce, on September 21st 2020. A strong reversal followed.

The #Nasdaq $QQQ is down 5% over the past 10 sessions. Historically, this has often lead to a strong reversal, with an average +7.7% gain over the next 21 sessions. The engine scans the market daily to find this kind of edges automatically in the Conditions section.

$QQQ today vs. compared to other mid-term years up to this point. 3/4 went immediately higher into a months-long uptrend.

$BTC historically likes this staircase pattern of consolidating within a range, putting in a few days of exceptional performance, then chopping some more at a higher range. If this keeps up, we could enter a $100k to $110k range by the beginning of November.

Decent chance for a bounce in semis $SMH $SOXX at these levels. Similar 6 month ranges ending with a sharp drawdown like we've seen, historically tended to revert and give at least +20% gains from here. Still looks like most of AI/semis cyclical move is behind us, but more downside seems unlikely.

Could $BTC be following $SMH $SOXX's path from 2019-2023? The shape has been tracking very closely with #Bitcoin's recent bull cycle and correction. A continuation leads to a 100% gain in the next few months. This was found with the Cross-ticker tool. As capital rotates down the risk curve, it is possible that Bitcoin has lagged this cycle and could start tracking with Semiconductors which already have seen most of their gains.

Not sure where to look in the market? Start with Orion’s Scanner. It scans hundreds of tickers for unusually strong clusters of historical patterns that closely resemble the current price shape and lead-up. Then it shows what happened next in those past cases, highlighting possible direction and giving you setups worth a closer look. Today's top read is $ABBV which given the current setup, historically always lead to a continuation of the uptrend.

Most were calling for $BTC Uptober, while the Orion Engine expected a sideways chop for #Bitcoin during most of the month. If this keeps holding, $100k could come early in November, where a new range could ensue. Started tracking this read on September 20th to see the actual path vs. the engine's forecast, and it's been pretty accurate so far. For any search on the app, you can save it to keep track and see how the path progresses against the consensus.

Bitcoin's outlook for the coming months, a case study prepared exclusively with the Orion Engine's tools: a short thread. 🧵 First off, looking at the Historical view, on the past one year, it is clear $BTC has undergone a prolonged drawdown similar to every major one before.

$NFLX earnings are released today after the closing bell. The stock is coming in with weeks of terrible price action into the event date. Historically, similar lead-ups of the stock into earnings resulted in a strong reversal to the upside. Notable matched windows are Q2 '25, Q4 '23, Q1 '26, and Q3 '24.

Think it's relevant to bring this thread back up We are seeing Copper/Gold enter a new expansion phase, the last one of which took place in 2020-2021 (and not 2023-2024 in the AI/M2 rally) Bitcoin has put in its bottom after a "muted" 50% drawdown instead of a typical 70-80% bear market We've been insisting on the mid-cycle thesis for months not because it's my opinion but because all the charts, macro context, and correlations are pointing to it And this matters greatly as it shapes the outlook of wether we are entering a "new" bull market or if it's a continuation of the previous one. A new expansion phase, sure, but not a new bull market Remember equities and indices have not entered a macro bear market like Bitcoin has. The historical precedent for this is a mid-cycle correction where Bitcoin recovers sharply and enters its parabolic phase quickly while many expect a new prolonged cycle Bitcoin/Gold also had bottomed in February despite BTC/USD making a new low in June, which was the same scenario as in 2020 The mid-cycle thesis is why the 4 year cycle bottom in October didn't make sense, and expecting 30-40k was not a smart idea Again, all of this is supported by the charts and historical precedent. And like the saying goes, history doesn't repeat but often rhymes. Studying history is the best way to contextualize where in the cycle we might be today
Good morning everyone! The case for this $BTC correction being a mid-cycle one rather than generalized macro bear market keep building. BTC/GLD's most recent and highest accuracy analog is not 2022 as everyone is saying (for BTC/USD), but 2020. The ratio has not swept the February lows and is building momentum. Gold has already put in its parabolic move and has now entered its distribution phase. Bitcoin did not pull a blow-off top post halving like it does every cycle. Liquidity is looking to rotate down the risk curve as VIX drops below 15 and small caps have consistently been leading large caps despite being a mid-term year. This is a textbook setup for Bitcoin to prove what happens when everyone thinks it's "boring" and has moved on to the next thing. Even if BTC/GLD puts in 1/3 of the move it did in 2020 and assuming Gold stays between $3/4k, the PT for BTC is around 400k. @uci0o12 @Sykodelic_ @DorkChicken @OVcrypto @lourenco_vs

Bears calling for top VS. the engine expecting a new bull trend to start right away
We've been waiting patiently since August 24th as per the quoted post, for $SPY to finish its sideways chop going into the midterms. This has played out as expected, and the updated view suggests the breakout rally into the best period of the presidential cycle could start any time now. The engine scans hundreds of similar windows to the past 1Y of price action, volatility, macro and more to find accurate matches, and overlays them to form a consensus on the trend for the coming months. This method has kept us on the right side of 2026 across different sectors and assets. Now seems to be the time to be long equities and indices going into EOY. #NFA
