💥MAJOR BREAKING: Ottawa scrapped the only rule that required employers to hire Canadians first.
Buried in paragraph two of an IRCC release, employers no longer have to advertise a job, prove no qualified Canadian applied, or pay $1,000 for an LMIA — for a high-wage job offer to count toward permanent residence.
The Labour Market test is gone from the PR route, and verification moves out of ESDC, whose mandate is protecting Canadian workers, and into IRCC, whose mandate is selecting immigrants.
Still think the great replacement is a conspiracy?

Canada can't handle <checks notes> 15,000,000 (!!?) more foriegn workers.
Immigration levels must come way WAY down.
Non-citizens with expired visas must be removed.
We must train our youth, make life affordable so that Canadians can have children, and hire Canadian.

Calgary, don't let Mayor Jeromy Farkas lie to you that they have to increase your taxes and fees.
They don't. No one has even been fired for the complete mismanagement of our infrastructure.
Meanwhile the City of Calgary is still hiring pointlesss jobs like this one rearrange chairs for $100k a year to make DEI fitting inclusive and equitable workplace.

Over the past few months, endless Albertans have told us the same story.
They saved for years to buy a single family home on a quiet street. They picked that neighbourhood on purpose, because of the park at the end of the block or the school two streets over or the neighbours who watch out for each other.
Then one morning the house next door came down, with no notice, and later a 16 unit complex went up in its place, with nowhere for anyone to park and no consideration for the neighbourhood.
Those are not complaints. They are people describing the place they built a life in with their family.
So today we are acting. Edmonton will return to the density and height rules that were in place before 2024 and common sense minimum parking requirements, utility and water infrastructure considerations are coming back. Calgary will hold the line it set when it repealed blanket rezoning. Both cities will take a hard look at their bylaws and come back with something more balanced.
Alberta needs more homes. We are building more of them than almost anywhere in Canada. But a home is more than a house, and a neighbourhood is more than a supply of lots.

Remember this Jeromy.
You knew the pipes needed replacement when you were a councilor years ago. So you lied about 4 year tax freeze.

78% water fee increase
