Pennsylvania has a state liquor store system and criminalizes marijuana possession.
The entire liquor industry is reliant on full blown alcoholics, people averaging 10 drinks per DAY.
"The alcohol industry relies overwhelmingly on a very small group of heavy users: the top 10% of the adult population accounts for nearly 60% of all alcohol sales.
• The Bottom 30%: Abstain from alcohol completely.
• The Middle 30%: Drink virtually nothing (less than one drink per week).
• The 7th to 9th Deciles: Moderate to steady drinkers who consume between 2 and 15 drinks per week.
• The Top 10%: Consume an average of 74 drinks per week (roughly 10 drinks a day)."

I was just thinking — we had an entire TV show (Cheers) in the US dedicated to alcoholics doing nothing but drinking , complaining about their lives and telling jokes about liver disease.
All while sitting on their asses, accomplishing nothing.

Richardson was pulled over on Oct. 12 for an expired registration. He told police he had smoked marijuana in the vehicle and had a small amount inside, according to court documents. Police found a jar containing marijuana and an opened bag of THC-infused gummies.
The charge was filed Monday.

The more cannabis someone had used in their lifetime, the larger these brain areas were and the better they performed on tests of learning, processing speed, and short-term memory.

The New York Times asserts 9% of men have cannabis use disorder, a stat amplified by prohibitionist groups.
But let's unpack what that actually means: A new study found that among daily users, over 30% didn't meet the criteria for CUD at all. 45% met "mild" criteria, which is 2/11 criteria on a diagnostic test.
Only 3% suffered severe CUD, which is what "addiction" typically refers too.
The idea that pot isn't addictive is well and truly dead.
