MFA statement on terrorist attack in Jordan. Poland strongly condemns the terrorist attack on a church in Jordan's Karak province on 23 October. The perpetrators must face the consequences. We express our condolences to the families of the victims. We stand united with Jordan’s authorities and the Christian community of the Karak province. We extend our sympathies to the Polish–Jordanian family which also suffered during the attack. Jordan is an important partner for Poland, with whom we have been engaged for many years in combating terrorism and extremism. Prime Minister @AliFalihAlzaidy received European Union Ambassador to Iraq @EUAmbIraq. The meeting addressed several issues, including the signing of a joint investment agreement between Iraq and the European Union aimed at attracting more European investment to Iraq. Discussions also covered the participation of European companies in this year’s Baghdad International Fair. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Iraqi-European relations, particularly in the economic sector and various areas of investment, as well as cooperation in the banking sector and the promotion of trade. The Prime Minister invited European companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in Iraq, highlighting the facilities provided by the government to investors, along with the availability of labor and raw materials for numerous industries. He noted that the Development Road Project would serve as a catalyst for strengthening economic relations between East and West. For his part, the European Union Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on the completion of the ministerial cabinet and commended the measures and policies adopted by the government in recent months, particularly in implementing economic reforms and strengthening partnerships with European countries following the Prime Minister’s visits to France and Germany.

Today, Deputy FM @ZajaczkowskiW visited Tehran, where he held political consultations at @IRIMFA_EN. The discussions focused on the security situation in Europe in the context of Russia’s aggressive policies, as well as in the Persian Gulf region amid the US-Iran conflict. Possible scenarios for further developments and prospects for de-escalation were also discussed. The meetings also provided an opportunity for an open exchange of views on shared challenges and for identifying potential areas of cooperation.
