♦God Almighty Defined♦ Jehovah is illustrated through Abraham how He, Jehovah, would offer His Only Begotten Son as a willing sacrifice to set things straight regarding Adam’s perfect creation and offer Jesus as a corresponding sacrifice to offset the debt we incur from Adam. The Only Human Sacrifice commanded by Jehovah before Jesus Early in Abrahams worship of Jehovah God, God promised Abraham would have a son through which he, Abraham, would become father of nations. By means of this seed, all the nations could bless themselves. Jehovah sent three angels to make this know to the aged man and his baron wife who were amazed this would happen in their old age and Sarah was past the age of child bearing. Genesis 17:17 “At this Abraham fell facedown and began to laugh and to say in his heart: “Will a man 100 years old have a child born to him, and will Sarah, a woman 90 years old, give birth?”” When Abraham was about 100 years old a son was born to him through his wife, this would be the heir. The child was named Isaac meaning Laughter, perhaps joyous Laughter. The child grew up with Abraham’s son Ishmael, born from the slave girl Hagar. The family lived in tents in Canaan as Isaac grew up learning everything he could about Jehovah from his father. When Isaac was about twenty-five years of age, Jehovah told Abraham to do something that would put his and Isaac’s faith to the test. Abraham was commanded to take the man Isaac to Mt. Moriah and offer him up as a burnt sacrifice to Jehovah! Jehovah had foretold and arranged the child’s miraculous birth under unnatural circumstances. Jehovah has promised that by Isaac, I the nations would be blessed, but now he was given this heavy load to bear. Abraham told Sarah of the journey and they departed towards Mt. Moriah. As they arrived, they took the wood, the knife and the fire and left the beasts and servants at the base of the mountain, while he and Isaac trekked up the mountain. As they were walking Isaac confirmed they had everything but the sacrifice, where is the sacrifice? “But where is the sheep for the burnt offering?” Isaac asked. “God will provide himself the sheep” Genesis 22:3-8,14. When they arrived at a suitable place, they arranged the wood as an alter where the sacrifice would be placed. Isaac accepted and put faith in what his father told him next, he would be the lamb! Isaac allowed his aged father to bind his hands and feet and place him upon the alter of sacrifice. Isaac would become a human sacrifice to Jehovah God. His father stood beside him there and in an instant, Abraham thrust his hand to the knife, pulled it up, then in a downward motion to slice Isaacs throat! Suddenly, an angel stopped Abraham’s hand and a ram appeared in the brush near the alter. As someone who can read a person’s inner thoughts, Jehovah’s word states Abraham as good as put Isaac to death. WHY? Why is this unusual prefabricated drama in the Bible? It is a Prophetic Parallel, meaning it is foretelling a future event. Jehovah is a God of prophecy; He can look into the future as He desires and see what will occur. Then He has it made known to us through His word, that you might put faith in every word coming from Jehovah’s mouth as Abraham and Isaac exhibited. God arranged all this to take place to show what He, the Father, the individual who as God Almighty, would offer up his willing son, Jesus, as a sacrifice. Jehovah is as Abraham was at one time, an aged individual without child. Then, after He created His only begotten first-born son, they spent ages together, his son cloned his father’s character, his loves and hates, his values, before creating other angels and the material universe. Jehovah named him Michael which means “who is like God”. Jehovah dearly loved his son, who he would miraculously cause to be born a human child. Jehovah took the life of his first-born and implanted his character, Michael’s essence, into what would be born as Jesus, which corresponds to “Jehovah Is Salvation”. Jesus was born a sinless human child due to being fathered by God. By these facts we learn that God Almighty is not a Trinity, 3 individuals who make up God, rather one being, like the man Abraham, one personage who is God Almighty. We learn Jesus is not God or part of a fictitious trinity, Jesus had a pre-human life as the first of Jehovah’s creative works as Revelation 3:14 and Colossians 1:15 state. Like Isaac, Jesus a living being, willingly gave his life as a human sacrifice to God. By this we know Jehovah is God and Jesus was a spirit created by him. We are to worship Jehovah alone. We pray to Jehovah alone in Jesus name. We love Jehovah and Jesus, acknowledging who they are and their headship over man. 1. Jehovah 2. Jesus 3. Man
