Rainfall from Hurricane Isaias will impact the MARFC area late Saturday through early Monday morning. No river flooding is expected at this time.
The USGS dropped or changed much of their main streamflow pages that many anglers enjoyed back in January. I have a new and better page which includes live stream flow data, weather, maps, popups and a table of specific fly fishing streams across the state. I think this is even better than what we had from the USGS. Give it a try, still in Beta mode.

Based on observed rainfall since September 1, it's easy to see why nearly all of Pennsylvania is now drought-free!

Out last night and caught this amazing hatch and spinner fall in Centre County at 8:45. Taken by my friend. That's not a dirty lens on his camera, but clouds of drakes, coffin flies, sulphurs, caddis and several other species.
Spent yesterday morning out doing something wild. Always a nice treat to encounter these native wild brook trout here in Pennsylvania. #paflyfish
Finding a few on top last night on Sulphurs. Cahills and Slate Drakes on the water too in Union County. #flyfishing
Penns has been really difficult fishing this year. I made a run for Snyder County last night and enjoyed a great dusk hatch and spinner fall. #paflyfish
The Green Drake hatch lasted about 36 hours and was one of the lightest occurrences I have ever seen. Over and Done!
March browns still out, but the cold front has quieted the hatches on Penns the last couple of days.
Looking forward to next week. Stanley Cooper TU Chapter Meeting - Stream Hunting Pennsylvania with Dave Kile on May 13. #paflyfishing
