Speaking to @BBCMarshall we met to talk about just one of thousands of obstructed paths. @CornwallCouncil should be enforcing against offenders (those that break the law) & recovering its costs from offenders. It’s not taking its duty seriously #cornwall bbc.co.uk/news/science-envir…

Today is the 1st day of Pannage! 🐷 Look our for the pigs that have been released onto the forest to eat the fallen acorns and other nuts, which are poisonous to ponies and cattle! Please admire the pigs from afar & do not approach and drive extra carefully on the roads 🍂💗

It used to be said, not entirely flippantly: “It is the job of a High Court Judge to be quick, courteous and wrong. Which is not to say that the Court of Appeal should be slow, rude and right. For that would be to usurp the function of the House of Lords.” prospectmagazine.co.uk/polit…

And they're off-we let our #pigs out today. In the #NewForest #commoners have the right of mast. Pigs go out to eat the acorns which are poisonous to ponies and cattle. This is known as the #pannage season and lasts for a minimum of 60 days. #RealNewForest @4CommonLand

Replying to @DefenceHQ
@DefenceHQ says this land at Burton Fell is 'occupied' and so no longer 'waste land of the manor'. It wants to remove from register of common land, 4,500 ha in all. If it's 'occupied', no common land in England remains waste. @openspacessoc tells #WarcopInquiry it isn't.
If you go down to the woods today... Pannage season has begun in the #NewForest today. #commoners with the right of mast can turn out their pigs for 60 days. This little family were snuffling around outside our gate! @4CommonLand @BBCRadioSolent @aroundhampshire
