You’ve never been more desirable in your life. My advice is to start behaving like it.
You wouldn’t have been able to waterboard this out of me.
Jaylen Brown says he bought a gold harp, and now has someone come over twice a week to play it as the sun goes down while his chef cooks dinner
“My favorite purchase, I think my best, my most favorite purchase was, I bought a harp. I bought like a gold harp. I got it upstairs too…”
“I got a harpist that come play like twice a week. While the sun is going down, chef is in the kitchen. You know what I mean? Just…”
Haha, that’s the premise of Hell’s Kitchen.
“Imagine if a restaurant hired Gordon Ramsay to be their head chef and he didn’t have a station to man and he just oversaw the kitchen the whole time without ever cooking anything.”
I don’t get it at all with this sport. Why is there an offensive and defensive and special teams coordinator in the first place under the head coach? What is the job of the head coach then? Why wouldn’t Payton call the plays and DeMeco Ryans call the defense if that’s what got them to be head coach in the first place?
Imagine if a restaurant hired Gordon Ramsay to be their head chef and he didn’t have a station to man and he just oversaw the kitchen the whole time without ever cooking anything.
They’re showing through dialogue because it’s a screen play and not a cartoon.

This scene from Lanterns episode 2, sums up everything wrong with this show:
John is shown the threat of Manhunters, but WE never see it. We just see an old lady. We’re at ep 6, and almost every cool sci-fi element exists only in dialogue. There’s no excuse...
Show, don't tell.
The only thing stopping USPS from doing exactly what Amazon does is Congress because it’s not like we don’t have the money to invest in it.

LaMelo Ball was asked to pick 3 people to wear his shoes:
“Jesus, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X.”

A great thing about public conversations on podcasts is that peer review be switching 🥷🏾 up for the better. They learn real quick what the community is okay wit and what the community ain’t cool wit.
A paper test is not the only means to show merit? Testing teamwork is meritocratic. Testing an ability to command a room of your peers is meritocratic. Testing ingenuity to solve problems is meritocratic. And it’s not based on color if everyone goes through this same process.

It affects nothing. Those black students wouldn't be able to score well enough on the SHSAT. Almost no black students score above 1400 on the SATs, what makes you think they'd score high enough on the SHSAT to get into Stuyvesant? The whole point of the private school scholarships is so these black students don't have to go through a meritocratic filter to get into stuy/bronx-science; they can get into prestigious private schools based on their skin color and much lower meritocratic filters.
Analytically the Cavs are NBA champions.
🏆 Congrats! The 25-26 New York Knicks are the first champions that:
1) don’t have a 1A
2) lost the KAT trade definitively
3) got gift-wrapped a path to the finals
4) will regress to the mean on 3s
5) never have anything to do with anything
6) haven’t actually won any playoff games. Opponents just lost all 16.
Basketball and soccer are theoretically the same sport because strategically the players are trying to accomplish the same thing on the court/pitch.
Soccer is absolutely more interesting than baseball. I think baseball has just been a cultural holdover from the radio era.
It’s hilarious how French Wemby is.
