Milestone met this weekend! I finished laying out my picture book/gift book in Affinity Publisher. I had a few typos to correct after laying out the typography over the draft copy, but now setting out to make another list of things to do! A #writerslife is never done.

Grief Like Rain—Hope Like Sunshine is here! I’m setting up a store link is: payhip.com/TiffanyInksStudio… for the PB and HB versions. An unexpected rainstorm makes the world feel heavier after the father’s death. A child pulls on boots, grabs an umbrella, and carries questions too big for words. “Why couldn’t you stay? Will I forget your voice? Does God see how sad I am?” A tender story of a walk through the rain, remembering Dad, and finding the way home. For ages 6 to 10, and anyone experiencing loss. #christianwriters #kidlit

Thing 8. I Wish People Knew About Me: Digital art has no clean up, smell, or mess. I prefer creating digital art that has no clean up, smell, or mess. But never ai assisted or generated art or writing. What is the difference between traditional and digital art? I used to adore learning a wide variety of art mediums and styles. I took my first alcohol-ink class in 2017 and I fell madly in love. But my lungs and nose rebelled. Even with the windows wide open, winter or summer, the odor is toxic. So I learned how to paint on a digital screen with an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil and I never looked back. Well, that’s not entirely true. I create mixed media journals, enjoy acrylics, and splatter a canvas and texture my drywall at home. But now I have virtual paints, custom brushes, Stamps of my actual handwriting, and can lay watercolor paper over my artwork and then decide to add plaster texture instead at the “drop of the pencil” if the urge strikes. What would you like to know about painting and drawing and sketching on an iPad Pro? Thing 8. I Wish People Knew About Me: I prefer creating digital art that has no clean up, smell, or mess. But never ai assisted or generated art or writing.
