Denmark spent decades building nearly 5,000 wind turbines Together, they produced 21.6 TWh in the last 12 months One nuclear plant in Sweden made 23.3 TWh Oh, and nuclear runs 24/7 — wind doesn’t There's one big reason Denmark has some of the most expensive electricity in the world transparency.entsoe.eu/gener… api.energidataservice.dk/dat… eia.gov/electricity/monthly/… iaea.org/publications/16059
Fun fact: Sweden has four nuclear reactors that have each generated more electricity than all Danish wind turbines ever. Forsmark 3 and Oskarshamn 3 started in 1985, the year Denmark banned nuclear. Both still ahead of Denmark’s entire wind fleet.

🤯 Mind blown. In September, 4,796 Tesla Model Ys were registered in Norway. That’s more than the next 16 best-selling car models combined. Not EVs. All cars. One model vs. the next sixteen.

In September 1990, my village in Valencia hit 46°C. It was the exact kind of natural climate volatility this ancient planet has unleashed for billions of years. Today, Valencia, Rome, and Athens are actually sitting well below their seasonal averages. Yet, the media is in a coordinated meltdown over a standard two-week warm patch in the UK, France, and Belgium. As a geospatial engineer who wrote a thesis on climatology, I’m positioned better than many to talk about the topic, the entire narrative relies on a broken view of data systems. The formula is simple: zoom in on a tiny slice of geography, filter out the cool regions that ruin the story, and label a hot afternoon a global catastrophe. The funniest part is the sheer hubris of the solution. We are told the Earth's massive climate system operates like a living room thermostat, that if humans just stop CO2 emissions, we can magically freeze the weather at our preferred temperature. Pretending we can micromanage global macro-cycles with carbon taxes. But as long as panic funds the machine, and people don’t think by themselves, they’ll keep selling the front-row tickets.

20 years ago, An Inconvenient Truth put climate change at the center of global debate, shaping politics, influencing leaders, and inspiring a generation of activists. Two decades later, we can assess not just its impact, but its accuracy. Many of the film’s most alarming predictions did not materialize, while many of the policies it inspired have proven costly and ineffective. The lesson? Panic is a poor guide for public policy. Focusing on innovation, adaptation, and economic development can do far more to help both people and the climate—at a fraction of the cost. financialpost.com/opinion/bj… teapaw.org/BjornLomborg/status/20…

Fanatisme. #KlimalovenMåBort CC:@anduril100 @mpenergi frifagbevegelse.no/magasinet…

Elon Musk is about to become a trillionaire If he agreed to pay just 80% of that as a wealth tax to the EU, the EU government could use its efficient operating experience to fund bicycles with solar panels attached to them for over 40 residents of the Netherlands Elon is being selfish by not paying the wealth tax

Norsk energipolitikk på sitt beste (verste). Vannkrafta produserer ganske godt. Dumt ellers.
