When you arrive in a vegetable crate, you know you’re extra special! 🥹🐾❤️ This adorable puppy and his older companion, Sultan, have been dropped off at Galgos del Sol, and both are now looking for loving forever homes. 🏡💕 Sultan is 10yrs and already has his name, but this little boy needs something just as special — a cute new name to call his own! What shall we call him? 🙏🏻❤️

Not only is hei-Wa having to run Galgos del Sol on minimum pay, but now he’s been asked to take up modelling, too! 😂 Okay, so it might not be Milan or Paris Fashion Week, but it’s still a pretty important gig! He’s making his modelling debut for the wonderful book Sighthound Stories created by Myriam. 📚🐾 Galgos del Sol wrote a few chapters in the book, one of which is about Rocket 🚀. Tissues might be needed. Hei-wa was a little disappointed to discover that he’d arrived just after the feature was done. Otherwise, naturally, the entire book would have been about him! 😎 If you’d like to get your paws on a copy and support this lovely project, please click the link below. It looks like Hei-Wa is a bit in love with the lovely Galga on the front cover. Thats Myriam’s heart dog Layla 🩷 sighthound-stories.com

Abu is a lovely Galga that recently arrived to Galgos del Sol. She’s around 4 to 5yrs old, super sweet and gentle and good on a lead. Sometimes when you approach she just closes her eyes slightly & flutters her eye lashes like she’s worried but she soon opens up again 😍 Shes lovely. Let’s find her a home 🥰

Living on the streets afraid of every shadow… even her own. She was trapped safely by Carlos and brought to Galgos del Sol. We need a name for this cautious lady 🙏🏻❤️ She bows her head when you get close, worried she’ll get hurt but once you tickle her chin she starts to relax 😌 Isn’t she lovely? 😍

Let’s start the day with this handsome hunk! Meet Rayo 😍 He’s just one year old, has an incredibly handsome snoot, and is super friendly. He can be a little shy at first, but that soon disappears, and before you know it, you’ve got a best friend. So, are you looking for a young black male ridiculously handsome & cute ? Rayo could be the one for you! 🖤🐾 Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Snoopy and Woodstock are two little bodegueros looking for a home. Snoopy only has 3 legs but doesn’t know it and Woodstock was lucky enough to avoid injuries whilst living on the streets ❤️ They’ve been here since puppies from 4mths old and are now a year old 🫤 Can you share? They can be homed together or separated. They just need a home! Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Lots of new arrivals. Here is the first 5 🥰 Four lovely girls and a very sweet boy 🩷🐾 We will introduce very soon 😍

Eden is another new arrival to Galgos del Sol ❤️ She’s a lovely sociable girl around 18mths old. The video speaks for itself. Let’s find her a home ❤️

Three adorable little faces have just arrived from China! ❤️ Rescued from the meat trade by @CandyCaneRescue these three little ones are now looking for loving homes. Meet Marshmallow, a gorgeous grey brindle Whippet weighing just 15 kg; Ollie, a Whippet-mix weighing 13 kg; and Stan, weighing only 11 kg. They’re tiny compared to our Galgos, almost like miniature versions! It’s heartbreaking to think that dogs like these can suffer such cruelty and be sold for meat. Some people may ask, “Don’t we have enough dogs in Spain needing homes?” Absolutely, we do! But rescue is about teamwork. @CandyCaneRescue helps us enormously with dogs who struggle to find homes, like Merida, who recently went into UK foster care after her leg made finding a home so difficult. By helping each other, we give more dogs a chance. ❤️ Marshmallow, Ollie and Stan are now looking for their forever homes. Could you be the one? Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Well, well, well… look what happens when the dogs organise their own little jailbreak! 😂 Breeze, Anchovy and Maple managed to break through a door and throw themselves a little kennel party. 🎉 Their humans might call it naughtiness, but these three clearly call it team building! The funniest part? Before their great escape, they were busy fence-fighting and screaming at each other like neighbours arguing over a garden fence. Now? Best friends, living their best lives together! Who knew all they needed was a party and a little quality time? 🤣❤️ And the best news of all? Breeze, our very scared boy on the left, has started taking a few more brave steps forward in the company of his new buddies. Watching him gain confidence is just wonderful. 🥹🐾 So, technically, we should probably discourage breaking and entering… but when a naughty plan results in three happier, more confident dogs, it’s hard not to applaud the initiative! 😂👏 Sometimes the best friendships begin with a terrible idea! ❤️ 🏡 these two, Breeze and Anchovy are still looking for their forever homes. Could you be the happy ending to their story? 🙏🏻❤️

Triana is a new arrival to GDS and around a year old. She’s not too shy, not too confident… just finding her paws at the moment. She does look a bit sad here but she soon comes around. Triana is off course looking for a home 🏠👀 Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

Mr Sniffers says good morning to you all ❤️ Who’s going to offer this lovely boy a home. Don’t let his nose put you off. Infact it makes him very special don’t you think? He’s a young sociable lad who’s doing well on the lead and with other dogs 🐕

Meet Murphy 😍 He’s the cute little podenco that arrived recently and is around 4-5mths old. He’s a funny little one, starting to do ok on the lead but mostly loves a cuddle. Murphy is looking for a home. Will you share? 🙏🏻❤️

I can already hear the comments… 💔 “Why didn’t you keep her puppies with her? Why didn’t you rehome them together?” Do you know how difficult it is to find homes for Mastins? Adult Mastins? And how much harder it is to find someone willing to adopt an adult Mastin and a puppy who will soon grow into an adult themselves? Believe me, if we thought it was possible, we would have tried to keep Mama Mia with one of her babies. But rescue is not always that simple. And if you didn’t offer to help, please don’t be the one to criticise those who are trying their best. Every single one of Mama Mia’s puppies has found a home. ❤️ Every one of them has a future, a family, and the chance to be loved. Of course, she’s a little sad. How could she not be? But for the first time in her life, she was allowed to raise her babies until they were four months old. Before this, her puppies were always taken away from her far too soon, while she was forced to live her life on a chain. This time, she got to be a mum. She got to nurture, to love, to care for her babies. And that matters. Now it’s Mama Mia’s turn. 🥹❤️ Today, we shared a little snuggle in the rain, and I wished so much that she could understand that her happy ending is still out there, waiting for her. Mama Mia is one of the most loving, gentle and loyal dogs you could ever meet. She has so much love left to give, and all she needs is someone willing to give her a chance. But she has one thing working against her: she’s a Mastin. In our experience, as a Galgo rescue, finding homes for Mastins is incredibly difficult. People see their size, and sometimes they never get to see the beautiful soul hiding behind it. So please, let’s stop criticising. Let’s stop looking backwards and start looking forward. Let’s share Mama Mia. Let’s help her find her person 🙏🏻❤️
