Obscure Atlanta neighborhood of the week: 'Taco Town'
Thus called because of the popular but small and basic taco place that used to exist there, whose name i can't even find.
Home to a dirt road that some people live on called "Narrow Street," and asian place on a quiet corner below a residence, a little chapel converted to apartments, and some of the most jammed-in houses I've seen in town.
my 4 y.o. girl has come home from school proudly making some "six seven" joke.
i will be explaining to her that we are not that kind of family and we don't use that phrase in this house
little known fact: @judgebushwood is actually an accomplished EXECUTIVE in town here with institutional chops and a crazy and impressive career arc.
when you (or i) post about some $1M deal, he laughs from his ivory tower in buckhead (which i visited) at such trivial pursuits.
Got to enjoy some coffee and chat shop w @PerrySolem today…Great guy!! this platform has a lot of connection power and of the dozens of people I’ve met from here only 1 hasn’t been a great interaction
Took a bit longer than expected, but we have completed the terms of this Voluntary Cleanup Contract with the state environmental dept.
As a result, I am now a national expert on polluted industrial properties. Please reach out with any inquiries or opportunities in this field.

Excited to announce closing our first fund of 2026, Paper & Packaging Credit Fund III, which will originate senior secured loans to established packaging companies.
"We’ve been blown away by the level of investor enthusiasm for our focused, differentiated approach to private credit," commented James Whitaker, managing director.
more comments about being "top heavy". really solid commenters over there on WSO btw, kinda puts the retwit scene to shame over here.
all the talk of bloated "AUM per head" reminds me of the umpteen hardos needed to run the little Kelley real estate fund xitter.cf/WSJ/status/20861420242…
At Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, a team of 20 undergraduates manage about $12 million in equity.

a few years ago when linkedin first started showing you automatically-suggested Replies in your DM conversations, a friend and I would just click them and fire back and forth at each other endlessly.
little did we know, what we were doing then was the future of the human race.
in my experience, people who say "i want a 10 cap" tend to be small-time morons who know nothing and have never done anything
but then you have the group below - extremely active and backed by a multibillionaire
"...most people believe it's the most valuable entertainment IP ever created."

South Carolina: $35MM asking price following extensive renovations and a $10MM 2020 purchase price. ownership info suggests it's someone in the Nashville music scene.
once owned by an Abraham Lincoln descendant, this thing is called the Sword Gate House postandcourier.com/business/…
another hotel being underwritten to a $666k/door exit in the suburbs, this one almost out in Forsyth County
