#TBT | Earlier this month, the team at FIDA-Uganda had the opportunity to meet with the Commissioner in Charge of Subsidiary Legislation in the Directorate of the First Parliamentary Counsel, under the Office of the Solicitor General, @MoJCAUG. ๐ข
The meeting provided a platform for FIDA-Uganda to engage with the Office of the Solicitor General and gain insight into how we can work with different stakeholders and duty bearers, to make our legislative advocacy interventions more effective in terms of advancing the rights of the communities that we serve, across different thematic areas of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Access to Justice and Women's Economic Empowerment.
We thank the Office of the Solicitor General for hosting us, and for the effectiveness with which they responded to our inquiries into the enactment of subsidiary legislation, which is key to combating the social drivers of violence against women and children in the Karamoja and West Nile regions. ๐ค
