The version of Thomas some of you are comparing this to hasn't existed since 1994

The final details I added were couplings- both the Corris spec tram bar coupling, and a discreet hook bent and filed from brass to allow for coupling without spoiling the look of the front.

Very entertaining to watch the Thomas fandom experience the exact same shit the Transformers fandom goes through every couple of years

It's so jarring the difference between the recycled CGI era assets and the new stuff created for this show

You know what this looks like? I'm gonna make a wild prediction. This looks like a childs train set come to life The simplistic buildings The fanciful landscapes Everything feels very toylike. Maybe that's the idea? I had heard some rumors that seem to back that idea up.
The official trailer for Thomas & Friends: Railway stories: Really Helpful Engines has been released!

Absolutely, it's a huge black mark on Wilberts character. My point was to acknowledge a very likely reason for why he was predisposed to resist any kind of change being pushed on him. Neurodivergent people can also have problematic views. Two things can be true at once.

Absolutely wild how many of you go out of your way to demonize the very obviously neurodivergent behavior of the guy who made the thing you like.

"He refused to make changes to his books!" you mean that he reacted poorly to unexpected change?

"he was a terrible person!!!!!" He was a very very obviously neurodivergent adult navigating a world that had absolutely zero tools to help him
