"Bank managers and professors do that" @sophiescott !! 🤣🤣🤣
With the late, great Oliver Reed currently wowing 2026 audiences all over again with his incredible performance in the restored version of Ken Russell’s ‘The Devils’, I wanted to share this amazing clip of him from 1985.
The rather low-res clip comes from ‘In at the Deep End’, a BBC series in which presenter Paul Heiney tries his hands at a profession he had zero experience in. For this episode, Heiney was preparing for an acting role opposite Michael Caine in ‘Water’ and went to Oliver Reed for some pointers on how to play a villain.

I don't think my views have changed that much. But well, even subtle changes can have consequences.

Some of us can only dream of having the kind of wealth, power, privilege, influence, extensive media platform and brazen selfishness you need these days to become a man of the people standing up to the establishment.

It’s TIME, and just knowing that we all need time to realize that jazz will give you back your mind, reggae will give you back your body, but the Blues, especially in this time, will give you back your soul.

A study which uses an online survey to recruit participants (as this one did) will not include a representative sample of autistic people. Sweeping claims like this should not be made without a representative sample and careful matching.
This illustrates the problem with the over-inclusive autism spectrum. It is assumed that a group of people who completed an online survey represents all autistic people when they do not.
This research does not show that self-identifying adults have higher unmet needs and unemployment than diagnosed people with high support needs and intellectual disability. Their needs are erased by this research.
Autism is not overdiagnosed.📜 Self-identifying autistic adults tended to have similar autistic traits & understanding of autism but *higher* unmet needs, unemployment, & distress than diagnosed adults. They mostly wanted a diagnosis but barriers eg costs:

All that says is that the visual system uses information other than pigment. Without the grooves/ridges (which are feature of the feathers) the bird would not be blue. While I'm on it, bluebirds are North American and not usually seen over the white cliffs of Dover either.
