sebenernya ya gaes, bukan masalah kebun sawitnya doang, tapi ini tentang homogenitas sebuah ekosistem. jadi kalo sawit nanti diganti jadi kebon kelapa (misal), ya tetep aja bawa banjir longsor dll.
karena pada dasarnya, wilayah kita butuhnya hutan hujan #AkuWahabiLingkungan 🙏

💔Borneo Critical Orangutan habitat bulldozed by PT Equator Sumber Rezeki (ESR) who has already cleared nearly 1,500 hectares (3,700 hectares) of rainforest inside this region that’s designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and orangutan habitat

Tragic Sumatra event. Mudslides in mountainous areas where deforestation occurs seem so much more severe than in Kalimantan swamps where we work. Deforestation everywhere has severe&dangerous consequences &needs to be stopped. I weep&pray for the innocent #orangutans of Tapanuli

I don’t think yall understand the gravity of what you’re looking at in this picture. This should infuriate every single one of us.

I said it before & have been saying it for years: “Trees are our lifeline to the future.”
OFI & I have planted 100s of 1,000s of native trees in Central Kalimantan (#Borneo)to restore #orangutan habitat & mitigate climate change.Ultimately, people need trees as much as orangutans!

stroke is a bitch and you won 2 fights already! Now that’s amazing. And just like you said, I will try not to worry about you because from the looks of it, you have a loving family that could take care of you and I believe they are amazing too.

Firestone’s only other book, "Airless Spaces," which she wrote in her late 40s, dramatized what happens when capitalist alienation makes everybody miserable.

My life is filled with liberals who think they are left. It is amazing how they create a huge space between themselves and me after they learn where I stand. The conservatives in my life are far more open. The Peace vigil was where I met true lefties but I am the last one left.

Irrelevant fact: he was in front of me in line at a dry cleaner on Sunset Blvd. back in the 70s. He actually could smile!
