“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return, and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Highest; for he is good to the unthankful and wicked (Luke 6:35 DARBY).”
“May the LORD bless you and protect you; may the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the LORD look with favor on you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).”

Can’t resist jumping in here. Replacement” (or “supersessionism”) may seem like a pejorative term now, but it was/is a term multiple covenant theologians themselves use to describe their position (eg, Waltke, Cox, Bavinck, Bahnsen, DeMar, Gentry, et al). I don’t know your version of “continuationism,”but if it entails a non-literal future for a restored Jewish nation, then it is a form of replacement or supersessionism, regardless of the label. This is because covenant blessings promised to one ppl (national/ethnic/territorial Israel) are transferred to / continues in another ppl (the church). R. Kendall Soulen (a non-dispy) labels this form “economic supersessionism.”

Very good points here. I love and respect many of the early church fathers. But their teachings and writings must always be viewed as below scripture. Not equal with it.

...as we also have forgiven our debtors. Matt 6:12
English translations vary as to how they render this. The verb (ἀφίημι - afiēmi, to release: forgive) is an aorist, which means a punctiliar or summary aspect.
Some translations have it as “we forgive”—a present, ongoing aspect.
What's interesting is the parallel in Luke 11:4 has it as a present tense, ἀφίομεν, “we forgive.”
I speculate, but Matthean ethics may emphasize forgiveness as a settled obligation rather than aspirational.
Anyone feel like a toddler again when you put on a sweater/ sweatshirt/ hoodie? You just can’t have pride putting on or taking one off, bro. lol!
I hope this doesn’t sound trite, but God is bigger than government. Jesus is the ruler of the rulers on the earth. Things aren’t going to spiral out of His control because of human error, sin, or negligence.
Is anyone else’s water out? Weird. It’s like the pressure was out, with some/ most faucets not having any water at all.
“The LORD spoke to Moses: “See, I have taken the Levites from the Israelites in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to me, because every firstborn belongs to me. At the time I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated every
firstborn in Israel to myself, both man and animal. They are mine; I am the LORD (Numbers 3:11-13 CSB).”
I think maybe I knew this? Or maybe I knew that I had known this but then forgot that I had known it? Either way, super interesting as it narrows the priesthood/ service of

On social media, I’ve seen the best of Christians and the worst. I’ve had to block awful people and I’ve made close friends. Like life, it’s a mixed bag. And like life, I embrace the good and discard the bad.
