Capcom is forcing Ultimate Frame Data to take down its Street Fighter 6 section. Capcom’s legal team says the site contains hitbox and collision data that isn’t normally accessible through regular gameplay, and that Capcom doesn’t authorize the use of modified software or analysis tools to obtain game data. The site was asked to remove or disable access to the SF6 data by October 30. The owner, MetalMusicMan, has already taken the section offline, saying: “Not my choice, sorry everyone.”

Today we have begun the process of controlling regions. 📢 Over the next few hours we will be reducing the maximum ping on a server to be 175 after we have decided that protecting the largest amount of players from an influx of regions that are more prone to cheating. It’s disappointing for us to have to put these divisions in place with social experience being such a core focus of WARDOGS, but we must prioritise the largest group of players over the minority. Region locking is in progress on the backend, but is more than a switch to make a meaningful impact to the desired effect. We’re sorry we let it get to this point that we are forced to make this decision, but we felt that giving certain regions the opportunity to prevail was the right move. Unfortunately, it has not panned out as we’d hoped and we’ll be getting stricter on cross pollination of regions. @BULKHEAD
