The Piper Men’s Powerlifting Team finishes as the 2026 Kansas 5A State Deadlift Championship Runner-Up!
Five Pirates won state titles, one runner-up and two bronze medalists.
Five Pirates also finished top 10 in lightweight power ratio.

The Piper Pirates hosted the Lansing Lions in the KSHAA 5A East Region 2 Sub-State finals. The Pirates took and early lead and the Lions challenged vigorously but ultimately Piper was too much and pulled away from Lansing notching at 58-51 win to advance to the 5A State semifinals.
