Nigerians have a problem, when the Flamingos lost their opening match, 99% Nigerians wrote them off, thinking they wouldn't make it out of the group. Now they made it to the finals, and boom, moral and discipline police started to witch-hunt them because of a TikTok video.
Are you people alright? Even if they lose the final, they have done really well and they deserve to be happy. Football fans need to do better. Players are humans, not robots.
they have emotions. They want to do things that make them happy.
They lack discipline, Nigerians and anyhow ness bla bla. Untop U17 kids.

I know many of you supporting NDC are new to being or doing opposition politics.
That thing that happened in Delta should NEVER be encouraged! You can’t out-violence a ruling party, guys.
Let me teach you guys what will happen next in Delta - leading towards the elections, every single person that can cause problem for the APC in Delta would be arrested and every other person would be scared and so out the window with your violence tendencies.
Don’t play your cards too early when competing against the APC. You can’t bully them with violence. You’ve to be more strategic than loud

You, @PeterObi never had a history of being an effective leader. You are too weak. You dont have the ability to command men. By January 2027, a final line will be drawn under your unfortunate emergence into the political atmosphere of Nigeria.
I am profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by reports of violence directed at members and coordinators of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement in Delta State.
I unequivocally condemn the attacks against our coordinators, supporters, and fellow citizens who were merely exercising their democratic rights. Political violence has no place in a democracy and can never be justified. No political aspiration is worth the life of a Nigerian, and no dispute should be resolved through intimidation, physical attacks, or the destruction of property.
It is particularly troubling that, at a time when Nigeria urgently needs responsible leadership, some individuals continue to believe that political influence can be secured through thuggery, fear, and violence. Political authority should be attained through persuasion and the trust of the people, not by intimidating opponents.
I urge the Government and the security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into these attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face justice, irrespective of their political affiliations. The safety and security of our members must be assured.
We will not be intimidated or silenced, nor will we relinquish our democratic space to violence. Our response will remain peaceful, lawful, and determined.
Nigeria belongs to every one of us. No political party or individual has exclusive ownership of the democratic space. Every Nigerian is entitled to organise, gather, express their views, and freely elect their leaders. Our nation needs constructive ideas rather than intimidation, responsible leadership rather than thuggery, and democratic contest rather than political violence.
I stand in solidarity with everyone affected in Delta State. A New Nigeria must be founded on justice, liberty, peace, and respect for the dignity of every citizen.
May God bless Delta State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

Dem don win U20 World Cup before. We have just played in finals. But we have more trophies at U17 than them including the inaugural one in China in 1985.
Hey @grok has Ghana ever won anything in FIFA, be it U8, U17, U20 or world cup?

That's an overgeneralised remark which doesn't even justify your earlier falsehood that Nigeria has "the worst" healthcare.
If you are referring to specific Nigerian hospitals, say so, but reserve your broad stroke remarks for your Caucasian audience.

Maaa, te Lorun Rufai.. let me attend to every question and argument you have raised. 😂
First, I honestly think you may not have heard this particular dimension of the argument before. So, here is my honest submission, although e go long small.
I appreciate your questions. But we must distinguish between the rationale for the reforms, the progress made and the failures of implementation. Three years is enough to demand accountability, but not necessarily enough to complete the structural transformation of an economy burdened by decades of distortions.
1. How much of the fiscal savings has translated into productive investment and better living standards?
The FG Aug 2026 scorecard puts subsidy savings at about N15.8t between June 2023 & Dec 2025- I guess and, shared across the three tiers of govt. It also reports N6.47 tr in strategic infrastructure payments.
However, the IMF has raised legitimate concerns about capital expenditure under-execution, transparency in tracking savings & the burden of debt servicing. I agree these require attention. But states & local governments also received substantial additional allocations. We must ask what they have done with their share. Development is not exclusively a federal responsibility.
2. Beyond exchange-rate stability, what is being done for businesses?
Baba d reforms go beyond FX subsidy removal, exchange-rate liberalisation, banking recapitalisation, oil & gas reforms & the new tax framework. These are attempts to correct structural distortions & improve the business environment.
Are electricity, credit, logistics & production costs where they should be?
No. But these challenges do not mean nothing is changing. The FRAMEWORK is BEING REWORKED, although the benefits are not yet reaching businesses uniformly...I know you have not seen this type of reforms before, you are not only me too ..I am more open-minded
3. Are production, investment & efficiency improving?
Nig recorded approximately 4% GDP growth in 2025, according to the IMF, with contributions from several sectors. Oil production has also improved. However, manufacturing & industrial productivity remain major concerns.
This is why d next phase must move beyond macroeconomic stabilisation to manufacturing, agriculture, exports, energy and private-sector investment. GDP growth alone is not industrial transformation.
4. Is increased revenue translating into better public welfare?
This is where govt must do much more. The IMF estimates dt debt-service payments consumed about 53% of federal revenue in 2025. That is a serious fiscal challenge. Higher revenue must translate into better healthcare, education, security, infrastructure & purchasing power.
On infrastructure, projects such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway & Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Maiduguri corridor are intended to connect cities, production centres & regional economic hubs. Their real value will be measured by reduced logistics costs, improved market access & increased economic activity, not simply kilometres of roads constructed.
Now, my bigger argument:
I am not asking anyone to celebrate hardship or excuse implementation failures. I am saying we must assess these reforms against the structural problems they were designed to address. The Buhari Yrs are a valid comparison, but we should compare actual policies and outcomes, not assume every reform programme is d same.
Nigeria needed 4damental economic restructuring. The current reforms have created an opportunity, but govt must now translate macroeconomic adjustments into production, jobs, investment & improved living standards.
I will defend d need for structural reforms, but I will not defend every implementation failure. We must demand accountability while remaining intellectually honest about where we were, what is changing & what remains to be done.
That, to me, is the difference between developmental economic analysis (analyst) & political condemnation(ist)

Garnacho and Rashford in particular. They both think they were too good for Utd and deserved a bigger club.
It took leaving to realise just how overrated they actually were.
One is already back at the club, while the other barely get a games at Villa😂

Lol....BRF told us the same thing years ago.
For nearly 20 years, over 300 containers of transmission equipment sat stranded at our ports. This equipment was bought to expand the network, relieve overloaded substations and bring more reliable electricity to Nigerians.
Yesterday, the Nigeria Customs Service approved the release of the first 98. Our engineers will now verify the equipment, test it and deploy it where it is needed most. That means completing stalled projects, easing pressure on overloaded substations and strengthening the grid.
This is a significant first step, and we are working to secure the release of the remaining 200+ containers without further delay.
We are grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the release. We also thank the Comptroller-General and officers of the Nigeria Customs Service, the Honourable Minister of Finance, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, the Nigerian Ports Authority, the terminal operators and the TCN team for their support.
A stronger grid, one step at a time. 🇳🇬

Atiku’s greediness is unparalleled in Nigeria.
How can a responsible man be contesting every presidential election for over 30 years now and there’s no sign of stopping?
A shameless and irritable man who can only appeal to his likes.
