Most people still don’t understand what a 9–5 actually means.
It’s 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Not 9 AM to 5 PM. 😂
We’ve been interpreting it wrong all along.

They want to see you broken, sitting in a corner, crying. Do the opposite! Show up with a big smile and push even harder. Never let them see you give up. 💯🔥

I’ve been preaching this model for a long time.
I don’t know why people always want to do it alone.
Walahi, if 3 people are serious about making their first ₦1M before the end of the year, forget trying to find ₦1M clients in Nigeria. Go after dollar-paying clients. At roughly ₦1,500/$, you only need around $670 to cross ₦1M. That could be one $700 project, two $350 projects, four $175 projects, or a combination of smaller projects.
The easiest way I’d approach it is to build a 3-man sales squad. Pick ONE service that businesses already pay for, then split the work. Person 1 handles cold email, researching companies, finding decision-makers and sending personalized emails. Person 2 focuses on Upwork, searching for relevant jobs and sending quality proposals. Person 3 handles LinkedIn and Instagram, finding founders, marketing managers and business owners, connecting with them and starting conversations.
Then all three of you jump on Google Meet together every day for 3-4 hours and lock in. If you're broke, contribute money together for internet, necessary tools and anything else you genuinely need. You don't need an office. You need laptops, good internet, reliable electricity, Google Meet, a good offer and three people who are actually ready to work.
When one person gets a client, the work doesn't necessarily have to be done by that person alone. You can split the workload between yourselves based on everyone's strengths. One person can handle strategy, another can execute, another can handle research, reporting or QA. The client doesn't necessarily need to know that three of you are working behind the scenes. What matters is that the person they hired communicates properly, the agreed work gets done and the quality is consistently good. Don't lie about your team if a client asks directly, but you don't need to turn your internal workflow into the main selling point.
And don't only think about one-off projects. Try to convert good clients into monthly retainers. Instead of getting paid $300 once and starting from zero again, you could offer an ongoing service for $300-$500+ per month depending on the work. Two $400/month clients is $800 every month. Three people can share the workload and keep prospecting for the next client while maintaining the existing accounts.
Create one Google Sheet and track every prospect: company, contact, platform, date contacted, response, follow-up date and status. Set daily targets. Something like 30-50 targeted cold emails, 10-15 strong Upwork proposals and 20-30 LinkedIn/Instagram outreaches between the team. Follow up with people who don't respond. A lot of clients won't reply to the first message.
Your process should be simple: find businesses with a problem, identify the person who can pay you to solve it, reach out, start a conversation, get on a call, close the project, deliver extremely well, then ask about continuing the work on a monthly basis.
But this only works if the three of you actually have the infrastructure and discipline for it. Good internet. Reliable electricity. Laptops that can handle the work. Clear communication. And most importantly, all three people need to be ready to lock in. If one person disappears every other day, doesn't respond to clients or doesn't do their part, the whole system falls apart.
Don't spend the next three months preparing, taking courses and redesigning your CV. Learn what you need while you're prospecting. The goal is not to look busy. The goal is to create conversations with people who have money and a problem you can solve. Three people consistently doing this can generate hundreds of opportunities. You don't need everyone to say yes. You just need enough people to say yes.

Proud moment 🥺❤️
After series of applications, interview sessions, practices, trying different companies, traveling almost every day, drafting messages, preparing for interviews and doing it all over again…
She finally got an offer. 🥹
And honestly, I’m so happy for her.
She’s always been a little scared and unsure of herself when it comes to these things, so having gone through the process myself, I tried to guide her as much as I could.
I’d tell her how to answer certain questions, how to present herself, how to speak confidently without sounding arrogant, how to relate with interviewers, what not to say, how not to sound desperate, and even how to handle those moments when she didn’t know the answer.
We practiced. A lot.
She went for interviews. Some worked, some didn’t.
There were days she was tired. Days she probably wondered if all the applications were even worth it.
But she kept going.
And then, finally… an offer. 🥹
I’m incredibly proud of her.
But I’m also a little proud of myself too. 😂
Not because I got her the job, but because I was able to take something I’ve learned from my own experiences and help someone else navigate a process that once felt scary to her.
Watching her go from being so nervous about interviews to actually sitting in those rooms and handling herself better has been really beautiful to see.
All that effort wasn’t in vain.
Congratulations, dear. ❤️
You earned this.

I saw someone introduce himself as a CEO because he started selling clothes on Instagram.
And honestly, it got me thinking.
Not because he was wrong.
But because we’ve made “CEO” sound like another word for “I own a business”
You sell clothes online, you source the clothes, post them, reply DMs, package orders, call dispatch riders and handle everything yourself.
you’re running a business, yes.
But CEO is bigger than the title.
A CEO is the person responsible for where the company is going, the people driving it, the decisions being made and ultimately, whether the whole thing works or not.
The funny part is that people want the CEO title because it sounds successful.
But the real flex isn’t saying “I’m a CEO”
it’s building something that actually needs a CEO.
No be title dey make the company big.
The company, the people, the systems and the responsibility behind you is actually what makes the title mean something.

People wey no get job dey teach people wey no get job how to get job

OLABODE OLUWATOBILOBA | GrowthOps retweeted
People will learn a skill for 2–3 months, struggle to get a job, then decide the next best thing is to start teaching the same skill.
Now you have someone who hasn’t actually worked in the industry teaching other people how to get into the industry.
And this creates a cycle🌀
Half-baked people are released into an already difficult job market🤦
They struggle to get jobs, so some of them start teaching too
More people learn from people who have never actually done the work.
Now we have more people with certificates, more people who can talk about the skill, more people who know the theory.
But fewer people who can actually do the job.
It also creates unrealistic expectations. People start believing that finishing a course means they should be employable, when real work requires judgment, problem-solving, communication, handling pressure, making mistakes and learning from them.
Eventually, employers have to sift through a much larger pool of skilled candidates to find people who can actually execute.
And the cycle keeps going
There’s nothing wrong with teaching what you know.
But please🙏, ejor🙏 learn the skill first,
practice it
Build things
Work with people
Make mistakes
Get real experience
Then teach from experience
Not just from a syllabus you finished last month.
We don’t need more people who know how to teach people how to get jobs.
We need more people who actually know how to do the jobs.

This are the 4 solid ways to grow a business
Advertising
Content
Direct sales
Referrals
Simple enough.
But here’s where I see a lot of businesses go wrong.
They start with:
Ads → Website → Email → Content → Sales → Referrals
And before they know it, they have a whole marketing machine running…
But they never stopped to answer the fundamentals.
Who exactly are we trying to reach?
What actually matters to them?
What will make them stop and pay attention?
Why should they choose us over the other 20 businesses offering the same thing?
What do we actually want to be known for?
Those questions come before the ads.
Because if your positioning is unclear, advertising doesn’t fix that.
It just helps you show your confusion to more people.
You can have beautiful creatives, a great website, well-designed emails and a content calendar full of posts…
…and still struggle to grow.
Not because your marketing is bad.
But because the foundation underneath it isn’t clear.
Before you pour more money into Ads, before you hire someone to make more content, before you redesign your website again…
Get the fundamentals right.
Know your customer.
Know your position.
Know what makes you different.
Know why someone should care.
Then build the marketing around that.
Because sometimes the business doesn’t need more marketing.
It needs better thinking before the marketing starts.

Growth isn’t one department’s responsibility.
Most business don’t have a marketing problem. They have a growth problem.
Your business can have a good product but poor operation, good marketing but terrible conversion, lots of customers but no retention system, Sales but no data, lastly a growing team without structure. And that’s where GrowthOps comes in.
As a GrowthOps, I’m interested in what happens behind business growth. Not just how to get more customers.
But what happens after they come, how the business operates, how leads are converted, how customers are retained, what the numbers are saying, what needs to be automated and what needs to be fixed before the business tries to scale.
That’s the kind of work I do.
I look at business from a GrowthOps perspective ➡️ Operations, Marketing, Sales, Data, and the system connecting them.
Moving forward I’m going to be breaking down businesses, sharing what I’m learning, showing the work I’m doing, and talking about what actually makes businesses grow.
If you are building a business, follow along. You might find something that helps you fix your next growth bottleneck.

Hello Everyone, please my mum needs your help..
I’m so sorry for this, but her life is on the line..
The pictures i posted are from May.. right now my mum’s foot is almost gone.. i can’t bring myself to look at it else it will kill me.
For the past 2 plus months my mum’s been in and out of the hospital.. from a tiny wound to her slipping into coma twice..
I and my family have spent everything we have on her to save her..
On Monday she slipped into yet another coma and we moved her to a specialist hospital in port harcourt
Over the last 3 days almost 3 million has been spent and the doctors are saying the infection is putting serious strain on her kidneys and heart..
The only way of giving her a fighting chance is to Amputate part of her limb as soon as possible..
And that would require yet another 3-4 million for the surgery alone..
Please guys i have spent everything i have over the last months, I’ve sold properties i have.. i need you to help save my mother’s life..
If you can help contribute, no matter how small, if you can help tag, engage and repost so it can reach a wider audience..
And most especially we need your prayers.
I’m here to provide more information if you need it, thank you
