Hurricanes decision to keep Jesperi Kotkaniemi against much criticism is paying dividends right now. Kotkaniemi is making a difference & is really starting to find his game. In last 9 games, he has 3 goals & 3 assists, not to mention he is a +5 on the season. In addition, his faceoff numbers are improving after 10/16 performance vs the Blues.

Duke's player-development wins are real floor-raisers:
- Pat Ngongba looks way more athletic and can shoot 3s now.
- Dame Sarr's handle is way better, and he's more assertive
- Sebastian Wilkins has grown into a real rotation piece. Jon Scheyer called him the biggest surprise

Taylor Hall says he feels good and thinks he’ll be back in the lineup tomorrow night when the #Canes battle the Bruins at Lenovo Center.
The forward missed five games due to an upper-body injury suffered on Oct. 13.

Connor McDavid praises the Carolina Hurricanes and perfectly describes their identity:
“You can't say enough good things about them, really. They do everything so well. Really, really impressive. It feels chaotic, but they're so organized amongst the chaos. It's really, really impressive. They're a great team, and there's lots to learn from them for sure.” #CauseChaos #CarolinaCulture #LetsGoOilers

Kyle Shanahan says he trusts Brock Purdy’s reads so much he could close his eyes and still know where the ball is going
“If you call a play, and what we practice all week and where you should go, and you get that coverage, I mean, you should be able to close your eyes and then know where the ball’s going.”
“And if it doesn’t go there, I should be able to be like, ‘Well, what happened? Did we not block well? Did the receiver fall?’”
“Cuz he’s going to be automatic with that. He sees things right. He doesn’t make stuff up. If the protection’s not there, he doesn’t sit there and panic and watch the rush.”
“He plays the position at a very high level, almost like it is seven-on-seven.”

I'll say it again: Duke's second group of 5 could be a back end Top 25 team.
