I actually think parents will fight hardest against the info on long term health effects from COVID. They will not be able to cope with the fact that they sacrificed their kids for a few years of (pretend) normal, the guilt will be too much

Are we actually living through the most chaotic era in human history, or are we just the first generation with social media forced to watch every tragedy on earth unfold in real time, and the world has always been this dark, we were just never close enough to see it?

Imagine refusing to fly because airplanes are designed by engineers. Then boarding a homemade aircraft because it's "natural." Welcome to MAHA health advice.

So “Covid” is when you stayed home for a couple weeks 6 years ago, and “after Covid” is when you caught the virus countless times?

This shouldn't be hard for people to understand. More police doesn't reduce addiction. More police doesn't reduce mental illness. More police doesn't reduce homelessness. More police doesn't reduce poverty. More housing, more healthcare, more treatment, more outreach, more resources and more support does. That's how you build safer, healthier communities.

The Ontario government announced funding to help hospitals find ways to be “leaner” We know that staffing levels are key to reducing wait times. We don’t need teams to tell staff how to do more with less. That’s not helpful Fund hospital staffing and beds! #onpoli
Ontario is taking action to reduce wait times and improve the patient experience in emergency departments with the launch of the Emergency Department Action Team. Learn more: news.ontario.ca/en/release/1…

Why aren't the robots working in mines, oil fields, disaster zones, and toxic chemical plants? Why aren't they cleaning up oceans full of plastic, inspecting dangerous infrastructure, or doing the jobs that shorten human lives and wreck human bodies? Instead, they're writing emails, making PowerPoint presentations, generating marketing copy, and replacing creative work. For decades, we imagined technology would free people from the most dangerous, dirty, and physically exhausting jobs. Somehow we ended up automating the things many people actually enjoy while leaving humans to handle some of the most hazardous work on Earth. What exactly are we doing here?

I wish people would be more normal about masking. I wear one during air travel, at doctor’s offices, on public transportation and at crowded indoor events. Or if I’m sick and need to be out and about in public for some reason. It really doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.

We started cleaning our water and waterborne disease (e.g. cholera, typhoid) basically disappeared from the West. We can do the same thing for air.

We defeated diseases so successfully that people forgot how terrifying the diseases were. Now they’re more frightened of the vaccines. That’s an extraordinary failure of memory.

Global warming is set to cross 1.5°C, pushing climate risks and impacts to increasingly dangerous heights, a new UNEP report warns.   Predicted impacts include extreme weather and threats to human health and economies.   Action now can still limit the magnitude and duration of the peak and preserve the possibility of returning to or below 1.5°C through an ‘overshoot, peak, and decline’ pathway   Explore more: unep.org/news-and-stories/pr…

Don't ask anyone if they believe global warming and climate change. It is not a religion. Ask if they understand the science behind global warming and climate change.

“I don’t believe in climate change.” Bro, it’s not the Tooth Fairy. It’s science. You either understand climate change or you don’t. It has nothing to do with your beliefs.

It is quite likely that ruining the planet will also ruin the economy.
The costs of this summer's extreme weather are expected to wipe out the EU's economic growth for all of 2026. "The biggest drag is expected to come from people struggling to work in extreme heat." Agricultural output could fall by between 3 and 7 percent.

@fordnation you now have ZERO reason not to protect the province's youth from repeated viral infections. If you're so concerned about keeping people in the workforce and "productivity" then put your money where your mouth is and prevent the spread of illness in schools!
