2019 Draft, round one: Pick 19: Tennessee takes Jeffery Simmons, two months after he tore his ACL.
Pick 26: Washington trades up for Montez Sweat. Seven picks apart, and seven-plus years later the two Mississippi State guys are back on the same D-line. In Chicago. Both got home on Darnold tonight.
Bears DL Jeffery Simmons and Edge Montez Sweat each have a sack tonight against Seattle. It's the first time they've both had one in the same game since Jan. 1, 2019, when they were Mississippi State teammates and lost the Outback Bowl to Iowa 27-22. They did it five times together at Mississippi State, in 2017 and 2018.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (Texans Debut Thoughts) 12 snaps. 4 targets. 3 catches, 34 yards. Every catch moved the chains. • Half his snaps were run blocks. On a slot stalk block and a goal-line rep, he drove his man out of the play. A+ Effort. • (Q2 6:14, Q3 12:59) Smooth underneath. He beat his man on a shallow cross and settled into a soft spot in the zone on a dig. • (Q3 10:52) Houston trusted him already: 3rd & 2 in the red zone, and he moved the sticks. • On a deep post route, he got behind his man but wasn't targeted. Stroud took the check down and moved the chains. At the very least, it showed there was potential for a bigger day. • (Q2 5:47) He didn't separate on a curl, and Jarrian Jones drove on it for the PBU. It wasn't a lot to give a true evaluation, but he showed he's willing and ready to do his job one week in. C.J. Stroud said, "It felt like old times… we'll get him more touches and more plays here in the season." "Felt like old times" has a real chance to blossom into something. I'm truly rooting for the guy to succeed.
Marvin Harrison Jr. every snap in Texans debut.

Jahmyr Gibbs is a volume back for sure, but against Carolina, I’m not super confident. Weeks 2/3 the Panthers held Bijan Robinson to 16 carries, 72 yards and 0 TDs and Quinshon Judkins 18 carries, 70 yards and 0 TDs. Absolutely no one would fault you for thinking he’d still have a big game… it’s Gibbs of course… just gonna be a heck of a matchup. #NFL
