i’ll never be able to understand how people have this much on their editing timeline.
i want to be on that level

Every time I see things like this on social media or in person, I think of how sad it is there are so many people in this world talented but the barriers of entry to the spaces they could fill are so immense (money, resources) that we have to worry about surviving instead.

Creators need to structure your videos properly. Don’t just record a video, send to an editor and have them make it into a story that makes sense. There needs to be some sort of outline.
Also, longer videos = pay your editor more

80% of Editing is just storytelling and mood building.
The other 20% is animations, sfx and transitions.
Sadly most editors have this completely flipped,
Their videos are soulless & flowless.
That's why despite all the crazy animations, they still end up not performing.

Sometimes it is best to take a rest.
You are not a robot and neither am I.
If you don't rest but only work, you're work capacity and productivity will significantly decrease, yes you heard that right.
Just a small walk or nap helps.
(And no, I'm not talking about Netflix)

What a goat, editors most of the time don’t get enough credit for their work ethic I swear it’s dreadful sometimes

You get what you pay for.
Keeping your editor happy is easy, all you have to do is just treat him like a normal human being
The happier he is working with you, the more motivated he will be to edit your video
The better your video is, the more $$$ it will generate
It's literally a win-win situation.

People can argue YouTube and theory all day but it's only the doing that matters. You created a video and it exists to serve a purpose or you didn't. I love talking YouTube but what works for one channel may not work for yours. It's like a doctor treating every patient differently, he wouldn't give certain medicines to those who can't take it. I can give you a list of incredibly specific advice and theories I had for this video, and trust me we go deep, but in the end there are a million factors and few of them may help you and where you are right now. Imagine Lebron James trying to give you advice on how he dunks, a lot of the time for these creators I work with their advice is to just go do it. For the expert guitar player they can tell you chords and scales but in the end they just feel it. That only comes from doing it a million times. Even MrBeast always said "Just make better videos" which becomes more true each day. He stopped giving as much specific advice and maybe I could be wrong but I assume it's because some just aren't ready to hear it or it doesn't apply to them at all in their niche. Spend less time reading, theorizing, arguing and more time doing. Nothing wrong with learning and iron certainly does sharpen iron, but in the end just do it every single day for years and you will get it. Keep learning but don't get pulled back and forth and frozen in analysis, focus on the doing.

Creator loneliness is a real thing.
you’ll often feel alone when coming up
no one irl understands what you’re doing, and you havent found people online who you relate to
obviously when you post a screenshot hitting a milestone, people show love
but thats the only time they show up..
for many Creators most of the journey is experienced alone
doesn’t have to be that way tho
send that DM saying hi to someone, engage with other Creators’ content, and just be more present
other Creators will slowly notice you and eventually you’ll find people you mesh with
over time it won’t be as lonely anymore

Prediction: YouTube videos will get longer.
Why?
Shorts provide a better experience for 'short-session', mobile viewing.
What's that got to do with long-form?
People now watch it when they have more time, on desktop/TV.
The result?
More demand for longer long-form content.

@TeamYouTube Thumb Media has been content ID claiming content I legally own all rights to through fair use. They have striked other creators for appealing their dispute rejections, and I don't want 2 strikes. Here is an 8-page document supporting my case.

every big creator started from 0 views, 0 subs, etc.
each with their own struggles being a Creator
uploaded videos no one saw, streamed to 0 people, people told them to quit, had self-doubt, etc.
but they believed they could do this shit
and they did it
..and ik you can too
