The sky is opening up to give us a nice little show for the first 7pm sunset of the year!

@ProfDuff you will appreciate this.
Every summer in Minneapolis, hundreds join the Wedge Cat Tour, a neighborhood walk where people show off their cats through windows, porches, and even in strollers

Got any recommendations to share? #APS26BCN
All ten of my students who work in my lab just got their posters accepted for the 2026 Association for Psychological Science @PsychScience conference in Barcelona, Spain in May 2026. Let us know what they need to do in Barcelona to learn about its cultural history! 😺

While many in the Latin community are being terrorized, targeted, and made to feel unsafe, Bad Bunny steps onto the biggest stage and makes millions feel seen. This is more than a performance — it’s representation when it matters most.

The President’s House exhibit was a sacred memorial that rendered visible the lives of people who shaped our country amidst their violent enslavement by its leaders. Let Trump’s attempt to erase our country’s past fortify our work for freedom and justice. inquirer.com/politics/nation…

@KristiNoem Renee Nicole Wood was killed by a domestic terrorist on your orders. She was shot like the dog you killed. I’ll tell you what domestic terrorism is: it’s Corey Lewandowski looking up at your deformed Mar-a-Lago face while you fuck him in taxpayer housing.

How long does it take to bike around Philadelphia City Hall in the NEW BIKE LANE that Philadelphia City Councilmember Jay Young refused to introduce and approve? 3 minutes. The new bike lane makes biking around City Hall safer for everybody.
Part of the City Hall bike lane has been painted… no thanks to Philadelphia City Councilmember Jay Young… as a 8 month pilot by PennDOT. What happens after 8 months? Well CM Young will have to introduce the bill to make it permanent… or taxpayers will pay to take it out.

Developed by two Nobel Prize laureates, mRNA technology was used to create COVID-19 vaccines in a remarkably short timeframe. This innovative technology has opened up new possibilities of developing vaccines against influenza, zika and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Drew Weissman and Katalin Karikó shared the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19. Their groundbreaking findings fundamentally changed our understanding of how mRNA interacts with our immune system and are being used to develop other mRNA vaccines against influenza, zika and rabies. One goal is to develop an mRNA vaccine that creates an antibody response to prevent the HIV virus from infecting healthy calls. If scientists succeed, such vaccines could save millions of lives. On 9 December, at the Nobel Week Dialogue, we bring together Nobel Prize laureates, academics, innovators and policymakers to explore one of the most urgent challenges of our time: how to deliver equitable, effective, and sustainable healthcare in the 21st century. Discussions will include the future of drug discovery, the rise of antimicrobial resistance, the economics of sustainable and affordable health provision and healthy diets. Join us as we consider the possibilities. bit.ly/4qEXEaz

Today we lost a great friend. Someone who truly LOVED music. All types of music. Someone who loved musicians. Not just famous ones, or chart toppers. He admired local artists and tomorrows rising stars. This man was as curious as he was clever, he was a real musicologist. He knew your influence and your influences. He was a loyal friend. He didn’t care if you were the fad or the fashion of the moment. He just cared. And that mattered. I’ve often talked about the loneliest man in showbiz. The DJ, someone who preached the gospel of the song to anyone who would listen.. this man was also very in touch with his humanity. His voice helped the hungry and the homeless, and he did it because he cared.. About you, about me, about making the world a little kinder wonder filled place to live.. his memory will live with us as it will with all of the people he touched. That man is Pierre Robert The legendary DJ at WMMR In Philadelphia..he passed away in his sleep last night. The station was lucky to have him on the air. We were all lucky to have him as a guide to his musical galaxy And I was lucky to have him as a friend.. Thank you Pierre.. Godspeed, JBJ

ご紹介ありがとうございます!卒論で関わらせて頂いた研究で、PC持って左京区の保育園いくつも走り回ってた日々が本当に懐かしいです。 論文はこちらですので皆様ぜひー sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
