Today is my first day as a Professor @ut_caee. In the few months since I heard the news, I got to celebrate the graduation of 3 more students & meet 4 past students in three continents: Hamza in Atlanta (no pic.🙁), Wai Joon visiting Austin, Antonis in Greece, & Ahmad in Lebanon.
Soaked up the Greece June sun all the way from Athens to Crete, passing through Paros and Santorini. Looking forward to the #9ICEG2023 conference starting today. #HookEm

A solemn day here at Sycamore Park in Davis. This is Karim Abou Najm’s family, who has arrived at his growing memorial to pay their respects. Najm, a UC Davis student, was stabbed and killed here at this park on his way home.
