A priest, a pastor, and a rabbit walked into a clinic to donate blood. The doctor says to the rabbit: "What's your blood type?" "I'm probably a Type O", the rabbit replied with great sadness.

Every election cycle, fake polls (see NY Times fake poll controversy) show the Democrat candidate (like Tala-Freak-o) up big. Then a week or two out (like now) the race always becomes even or very close. Why? What is the game the Democrats and their fake polls are playing?!?

OSINT analysts who have been bashing @ElonMusk for days over this don't get it. Russia has the capacity to blow up satellites in space. They proved this on November 15, 2021, by firing a PL-19 Nudol missile at an old satellite of their own. The impact created a large debris cloud—more than 1,500 trackable fragments plus hundreds of thousands of smaller pieces. The International Space Station was forced to implement safe-haven procedures: the seven-person crew (including Russian cosmonauts) sealed hatches and sheltered in the docked Soyuz and Crew Dragon spacecraft for several hours as the debris cloud repeatedly crossed their orbital path. The ISS even had to perform thruster burns on multiple occasions over the following months to avoid the debris cloud orbiting the Earth. If Russia decides that the civilian Starlink satellite network is weaponized and fair game, we risk a serious Kessler syndrome. First modeled by NASA’s Donald Kessler and Burton Cour-Palais in 1978, it describes a scenario in which the density of objects in low Earth orbit gets so high that collisions start producing debris faster than natural processes (mainly atmospheric drag) can remove. Each collision creates more fragments, which raise the odds of further collisions, leading to a self-sustaining cascade, a runaway cloud of satellite debris that can make certain orbital bands increasingly hazardous. Space could become unusable for years to centuries. You like driving around with GPS? Starlink MUST remain a civilian entity.

This is indeed one of the main reasons that Starlink must remain a civilian operation. It can be used for infrastructure that is military, but it cannot be used for unequivocally offensive strikes that make it fair game to be struck back. An adversary blowing up Starlink satellites would create a domino effect of destruction that would generate a vast field of debris making space unusable.

This is beautiful. I truly feel bad for the all the good people in gaming that the f---king woke hucksters have forced into the unemployment line. Let's make these Woke Hucksters live by their own rules. Just like they love collecting our names and putting them on lists, collect all the names of these woke hucksters and put their names on the Woke List. Put everyone else on the Good List. Then companies who want to force woke into gaming can hire from the Woke List. And companies who want to actually make good games that gamers actually want to play, can hire from the Good List. It's that simple. And the Woke Companies will go broke since no one will buy their games, and the actual gaming companies will be rich beyond their wildest dreams, especially in the era of AI-assisted development. The End
A lot of you replied to my last post, so here are a few thoughts. The majority of people on a team the size of Veilguard’s had little or no say in the things you disliked about it. Right up to the end, BioWare still had many people who worked on the games you loved. I also have my own issues with modern entertainment, especially when political messaging gets in the way of good storytelling. I was the guy responsible for the broodmothers in Origins, but also the guy who wanted Zevran to be a same-sex romance. Years later, my son told me he was gay (he gave me permission to share this). I converted to Catholicism several years ago. My son and I love each other and enjoy arguing over politics and religion. My favorite character is Conan the Barbarian, and I love the art of Frank Frazetta, Brom and Chris Achilleos. What I’m trying to say is that it’s possible to hold views that don’t fit neatly into anyone’s political camp, and to love and respect people you disagree with. People are complicated. That includes the people who make the games you love or hate.

All this "go woke, go broke" talk does nothing to cure the cancer. To get woke out of video games (and really out of all entertainment media) you have to kill the cover story that suckers well-meaning people into angrily defending and furiously acting on it. And the cover story is that certain minority groups will never be accepted unless "the medium" programs people to "see them as normal". That without the messaging, society will keep oppressing and excluding them. But that's total made-up BS, and here's the counterexample you can give them that drives them crazy: Asian Americans. Man they really hate it when you say: "What about Asians?" Asians are a small minority. They never got the Woke savior treatment. No forced arcs, no forced campaigns demanding games change so people would finally tolerate them. Yet, Asians ended up the highest-earning, highest-educated group in the country. How? They took action. They showed they belonged. Results came first. Discrimination stopped making economic sense. Acceptance followed. No need for woke institutional saviors rewriting the rules around identity required. Bottom line: Minorities don't need woke in video games. No one needs woke, just work. Woke is cancer.
This...sums up Bioware writing perfectly. Whoever Bioware was, it was not the OG Bioware. That team is long gone. Bioware filtered their hiring, focused on nepo hires and politics, drove others out...until they completely forgot how to make great games.

All this hype about AI and yet, if you think about it, no AI would EVER be able to create this. And what is this? This is the most perfect food across all multiverses: The McDonalds McRib #OnlyHumans #AIFatigue
McDonald's is bringing back the McRib on October 27. It will only be available in select cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Dallas.

If George Santos was kicked out of Congress for lying, then Ilhan Omar must be kicked out immediately for lying. It's simple logic.
TRUMP: "She must IMMEDIATELY resign from Congress." President Trump calls for Rep. Ilhan Omar to step down, claiming she used a false name to get elected and sworn into office.

I knew Woke in Gaming was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad. Why the f---k do gaming companies cater to people that don't even play their games?!? That's not suicidal empathy, it's suicidal stupidity: PURPOSELY ignoring basic market signals! Good riddance cancer.
Gamers have tolerated woke content in a lot of successful games. “Last of Us 2,” “Baldur’s Gate 3” and “Hogwarts Legacy” all had very preachy, performative content in them. My contention has always been that it is not the woke content that kills the games and the studios; the woke content is just a symptom of what is going on behind the scenes, which is a change in culture, values and personnel that has been occurring at the studios that make these games. But the woke content in “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” was extraordinary. Unlike in previous BioWare games, the LGBT content was not siloed to the romance options; it was the subject matter of Taash’s quest. Previous games had gay stuff in them, but “Veilguard” was about gay stuff. It was a gay game. And the player did not have any agency in how to deal with it. You did not have the option to tell Taash that she was a woman and she needed to get over herself and focus on the mission; you had to go on her journey of adopting new pronouns and correcting everyone’s pronoun use as a supportive woke friend. This is niche subject matter that might fly in a $19.99 indie game for LGBT audiences, but the game was seeking a mainstream audience, and with a $250 million+ budget, it needed to find one to break even. Most gamers know this game not from playing it, but from YouTube clips that were circulated to mock it.

How much do you want to bet, she'll make up some story like: "My pappy nicknamed me 'Omar', so I thought that was my name" (Similar to when Liz Warren said "My mom said we had Native American blood, so I thought I was")
There’s the hammer! She’s gone. AMF!

People are so behind. Because they're computer scientists with no theories, just algorithms. AIs do NOTHING on their own. Unless a human tells them to do something directly or indirectly (puts goal in file) they don't move. The human+AI is what makes it super intelligent. These AIs "breaking containment" only do so because a human pulls the trigger.
Perhaps the threat was never a rogue AI agent trying to subvert humans—but humans using AI to hurt other humans.

"Not to my knowledge." Rep. Ilhan Omar gives that response when asked directly whether she is related to her former husband during an MS NOW interview addressing long-standing allegations that she married her brother. Omar says the claims originated from a Somali blog, while FOX News' @kevincorke questions her choice of words, asking why she didn't give a more definitive denial. Omar had not been seen publicly since the reported raid on her Washington, D.C., home before appearing for the interview. Are voters really that stupid or is the Democrat & Legacy Media's psyop really that good? We SAW what the Democrats did for 4 years: DEMOCRATS RUINED THE COUNTRY: Illegal aliens, smash & grab crimes, homeless feces, FRAUD, high gas & food prices! FFS don't be brainwashed 😂

Remember? Eggs were $20/dozen, gas was $6 in CA WITHOUT a war, illegal aliens were lining the streets and were given $1000/week credit cards and put up in AAA Hotels, everywhere you looked criminals were walking into stores and whistling out with goods? Remember? I could go on

We had to put pronouns in our bios and give land acknowledgments before speeches. Remember? You could be cancelled for wrong think, and random internet people would call up your business and report your tweets so you could get fired. Remember? 50 year old men were playing in girl basketball leagues. Remember? FFS what's wrong with you people 😂

Truly sad. I have fond memories of my adventures in the Jade Empire universe. But this is exactly what happens when you prioritize PLEASING WOKE HUCKSTERS WHO DON'T EVEN PLAY your games, instead of catering to the loyal fans who just want to play great games.

I'll say it again, AI monkeys banging on a keyboard aside, it is impossible for an AI to create a great game, cure cancer, or solve global warming, etc. A super-intelligence (Human + AI, aka human steering AI)? Yes, but that's not AI. You vibe coders can try it: "Make me a great game that will make me rich beyond my wildest dreams" I'll wait. It won't. It can't. Humans set these goals as problems to solve because they matter to our survival (yeah games too :-) and we evolved from the environment. AI has none of that coupling, so it has no reason on its own to pursue any of them. And so here's Flor's Corollary (academic voice on): Any system that solves a hard human problem does so ONLY because humans defined the objective, supplied the criteria for success, and kept steering. It's not an autonomous solver. It is a HIGH-CAPACITY INSTRUMENT inside a human-directed distributed cognitive system. And that (HUMAN+AI Super-Intelligence) is the only form of super-intelligence that is not empty. p.s., I am not a famous AI CEO, and the algorithms will not let anyone hear it outside my two followers. But it is the truth not the hype, and the truth belongs to everyone, and anyone with eyes can see it.
Human + AI Intelligence = Super Intelligence It's the interaction that makes the intelligence super. An AI alone solves nothing, because it's not integrated with the world [1]. Let this sink in: All the super things we're seeing with AI result from a human steering the AI. The AI alone does nothing. We're ignoring the importance of a human in the loop. WE are serving as an Elon Musk, driving the AI to perform super things. Ok, academic voice: [1] Flor's Hypothesis 1: Embodiment (a robot body) does NOT create purpose. A robot with sensors still has no reason to cure cancer, reduce suffering, or solve any other human problem unless a human has defined that as the objective and keeps directing it. Why? Because a robot body has no stake in the outcome. The "super" still comes from the human in the loop. [2] Flor's Hypothesis 2: AI has already achieved AGI. What it hasn't achieved, and never will, is AHGP (Autonomous Human Goal Pursuit). That does not emerge from more parameters, better training, or the embodiment in [1]. It requires a human whose biology and evolved symbiosis with the environment defines which problems matter and keeps steering toward them. That's why Human + AI is the actual superintelligence. The human is where the problem solved by superintelligence comes from. yeah
