1928. The last time BC Conservatives formed government. 1935. The last time Quebec Conservatives won seats. They now hold 19. Conservatives are set to govern 7 of Canada's 10 provinces. It's a remarkable provincial political map, and quite the contrast with Ottawa.

Hard to disagree with this point. The last leader of the Conservative Party of BC questioned the integrity of a fellow leadership candidate because his wife was First Nations, and won. The people that supported that approach are still in the party. It’s toxic.
