Thank you for borrowing from H.E. Seyi Makinde's playbook. He has been paying a transport allowance of N10,000 and a wage award of N25,000 to civil servants and local government workers, and N15,000 to pensioners every month. We hope you also execute it as transparently as Oyo State is doing.

When we say the cult is fully endorsed by their leaders and they are complicit in this online terrorism, some of you think it may not be so; you think it is too extreme to believe. Here is their Oga's most significant associate following a bot handle that was just set up this month and tweets wild things and threatens people. The handle just started tweeting 3 days ago and he already follows it.

Nigerians want us to spend 15 billion dollars every year on fuel subsidies. Do you guys know what you can do with 15 billion dollars a year? I mean if you're gonna protest anyway, why not protest for better spending instead of worse spending?

I think very many rich Nigerians have a lot to financially gain from subsidy so I actually don’t put any stock in their words about it, they are all lying for their pocket, the same way a lawyer might lie to a client about his “real” chances at the court.
Bismarck Rewane was suggesting that we needed a more efficient subsidy system as a against total subsidy removal. What do you think ? Do you agree with him ?

When I tell you people I’m not willing to argue subsidy I know what I’m saying. Every single person who’s backing it now knows it’s the wrong choice and are just doing it for political reasons. Fair enough, but I’m not foolish enough to start arguing when I know everyone is merely pretending to be blind.
When PMB removed subsidy in 2022 and the NLC forced him to reverse the removal, some people had a lot to say. Listen to the opening lines from Dr. Abati and Prof. Pat Utomi. So I ask, who is now playing politics with subsidy according to Prof. Pat Utomi?

Permit me to bẹ́ before you expatiate, we should never go back to that regime of petrol subsidy. Apart from the obvious fraud, it will cause destabilisation down the road when we want to remove it again. Most importantly, it is lopsided. I, who drives a V6, would benefit more from the scheme than mama Nkechi who just needs a few litres of petrol a day to power her pepper grinding business. Instead, we should clamour for targeted regime that would benefit mama Nkechi and her ilk, directly. Example is the conditional cash transfer. Another is direct PUBLIC transport subsidy from the states (not Federal). Petrol subsidy, for all it's supposed good, was and would be a net negative to the country the way we ran (and would still run) it. P.S. We have given certain people too much state support including tax exemption, we should not subsidise their product again abeg. There are other socio-economic sectors begging for attention too.
Unpopular opinion: I am no longer against the reinstatement of some Petrol Subsidy. Will not explain yet.

The BIG reason why we can’t accept a re introduction of subsidy.
Every election becomes an argument on how much fuel subsidy you’re bringing back, crazy.

Even worse than bringing back subsidy is the second order effects of validating the idea that promising lower fuel to the proles will make you win

What I’ve noticed is that all of you are looking for someone that will lie to you. It’s all good, but if they reverse the removal of subsidy this is exactly what will happen. You might believe or not, but it’s the truth anyway

Promising to bring back fuel subsidy is disqualifying to me as well, regardless of who's making the promise. Even If we are crying, let's still be seeing clearly abeg.
So sad, but I cannot support a reintroduction of subsidy.

4 students, one other lady k+lled as Niger gov’s convoy allegedly rams into their car Five people, including four male students and a young woman, have lost their lives in a fatal road crash involving a vehicle in Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s convoy in Minna. The accident occurred on Monday around Gidan Mangoro along the Minna–Bida Road when a Hilux van travelling with the governor’s convoy collided head-on with a Peugeot 206. The Peugeot was being driven by a woman identified as Mrs Nafisa, who d+ed at the scene. She was said to be an NGO staff member, Programme Manager at Labspace and founder of Wosh Mart Service Ltd. According to a resident, Abdullahi Musa, the crash happened at about 11:35am while Governor Bago and his team were returning from Bida, where they had paid a condolence visit to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, over the death of Sagi Nupe Hajia Aisha. The occupants of Nafisa’s vehicle were suspected to be postgraduate students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna. Musa said, “The people in the private car d+ed instantly, while those in the government Hilux sustained serious inj¥ries with the driver dying on the spot.” He stated that the crash resulted from wrongful overtaking by the convoy vehicle, adding that the Peugeot was on its lane when the Hilux crashed into it. A staff member of Minna General Hospital said three victims d+ed at the scene, while two others later succumbed to inj¥ries. Some inj¥red victims were reportedly transferred to IBB Specialist Hospital for further treatment. One occupant of the Hilux, identified as a former Niger State local government council chairman, suffered leg fractures but survived. FRSC Sector Commander Aishat Sa’adu confirmed the crash, while police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun said the incident was under investigation. “The accident occured this morning and we are investigating it,” Abiodun said.
