See what I mean? Can’t take an iota of criticism. Lol. I’ve played this game multiple times as a KID so yes. Even when I was the target audience. I found a lot of the game’s design to be absurd. Victory Road was empty, the level curve sucked, the trainers barely called you and when they did 9 times out of 10 it was about some mundane thing they did. It wasn’t even to battle. I don’t wanna hear it from y’all
I swear the moment anyone has the SLIGHTEST criticisms of these games y’all get your panties in a pretzel knot and say everyone else is the problem or imply everyone else is stupid or unskilled. HGSS look nice and have a charm, I’ll admit that much and most of the music is nice but damn does it have a lot of GLARING problems.

The problem with HGSS apologia it answers arguments in a vacuum and not in context.
For example you can rematch trainers. But only once a week and will randomly call you for flavor text. The unreliability of trainer calls and the astonishingly low level curve hurts the pace.
