It’s wildly known that conservatives need to murder at least one orca upon achieving power. As is tradition.
Can people park their political hate on the posts from our politicians towards our servicemen/women and their families in regards to Wainwright.
Can you please cease being utter cunts for one moment.

The outrage over the Eby family accessing $10/day childcare has DEFINITELY breached the normieverse.
For some undecided voters or voters just now tuning into this election, this might be the first issue that gets them thinking seriously about their vote.

"Many well-to-do British Columbians have been quietly winning $10-a-day spots for years, while others at the poverty line suffer on wait lists. It’s how the system was (stupidly) designed," says @RobShaw_BC.
"That successive NDP administrations defended this ridiculousness, and refused to change it, is the real scandal."

The @bcndp's failure to create the universal $10 a day child care system it promised in 3 elections over 8 years has caught up to it this election in a sharp, pointed way.

Despite Eby’s donation (legally a tax write-off) each of his children parked in $10/ day space OCCUPIES a $10/day position that is NOT then freed up for another child. He is squatting on someone else’s needed space.
THAT is the problem.
Eby refuses to provide specifics when asked by @jarmstrongbc how much he and his wife donated to their children’s daycare after it became a $10/day facility:
“We paid the difference between what it was before and what it was after.”
Stop focusing on what I do, the literally person responsible to you all and start focusing on what matters... Trump.
At @BoardofTrade @Dave_Eby has returned to "standing up to Trump" narrative he started election with but has since mostly abandoned due to lack of public interest.
Tries to use it to springboard into "standing up against hate and division" argument against @Conservative_BC

How sad that David Eby and his doctor wife make over $500k a year and are still taking $10/day daycare spots while most working families in BC can’t get one? Even if he donates the difference, he’s still taking the spot from a more deserving family!
Vote wisely!!! #BCpoli

How could he let himself be blindsided by this? His reaction makes no sense. A donation? So what? No one else gets a $10 spot for that. And the whole idea of the program, as his defenders will tell you, is that it's "universal," though it's *nothing like* universal.

I've mentioned before that the people who vote NDP are generally the ones for whom the system is working perfectly. They got a family doctor. They got the $10 childcare. They got the interest-free government loan. They got a whole galaxy of things denied to those without the right connections.
Just now, David Eby confirms that he has his kids in $10/day taxpayer-subsidized daycare.
Approx. only 10% of BC daycare spots offer $10/day daycare. Most families who want in can't get a spot.
As Premier, Eby earns $227k/year. Eby's wife is a doctor. Their household income is likely well over half a million dollars per year.
We don't resent British Columbians who are successful (we want more people to succeed).
But where there are wait lists, surely a wealthy family like Eby's shouldn't be taking advantage of $10/day daycare. Think about a working single mother? David Eby deserves the spot more than her?

Replying to @Dave_Eby
I remember many discussions about this topic when it first coming in and how people were so sure it was for those who could not afford it, and how it would be a step up for families... Turns out it's not going where it should.

Is this really all shitty politicians have?
Don't look at how little I've done to improve things. Focus on Trump.
I’m disappointed to hear that Brad Bradford welcomed yet another person with extreme views into his campaign.
Divisive MAGA-Trump politics has no place in this election.

So let me get this straight, @Dave_Eby launches an entire campaign around Buy Canada, then goes and stands in front of Cdn-owned Save-on-Foods and slams BC billionaire owner Jimmy Pattison (who donates 10% of annual wealth per year to charity) as a profit gouger, when Pattison is helping him fund $75m towards the NDP's new St. Paul's hospital through the largest donation by a private citizen to a medical facility in Canadian history?
Ooooooookay.
Interesting point re: @Dave_Eby's sudden war on Cdns Jimmy Pattison and Galen Weston as billionaire gouging grocery owners, w/out calling out US giants during campaign urging buy Cdn.
"Jimmy and his family own Save On Foods, they are going to be just fine," says Eby.
Ignoring perhaps Pattison's many donations to hospitals, etc in BC.
You don't say ...
