Africa is blessed to have you! Thank you for your authentic feminist leadership. This is indeed a historic win for the women and girls in Africa. Happy to have contributed my quota as rapporteur for Central Africa during the 🌍 consultative meetings. Kudos 4 the gr8t work!👏👏
As I conclude my tenure as AU Special Envoy on Women, Peace & Security, I extend my deepest gratitude to AWLN Elders, AWLN chapters across Africa, UN agencies, civil society, Heads of State, Parliaments & Courts. Together, we achieved a historic milestone: the adoption of the #AUCEVAWG at the @_AfricanUnion Summit. This is a victory for Africa’s women & girls—one step closer to a future free from violence. #AU4Women #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #38thAUSummit #AWLN #WPSinAfrica #SilencingTheGuns #WomenLeadPeace
