Google Health's new UI is wasting screen real estate with AI-generated blabber. I want a dashboard full of metrics, but instead I get 5 metrics at once (need to scroll for more) with another screen half taken by a feed of sorts.
Idea: a Gentoo-like Linux distro where software is modded to your specific needs / wishes / hardware before compiling. Not just flags or options, actual code edits like "rewrite all apps to use GTK".

Software development should be classed as manufacturing. Modern, large scale sw dev definitely is one. It is about creating new functionality, giving people new tools, it is not "service".
It also no longer requires advanced skills, there is a lot of "conveyor belt" jobs in it.
The regressives justify the tariffs by saying that the US is SO behind in manufacturing.
It is the top 2nd freaking manufacturing country in the world, after China.
And you don't necessarily want mfg jobs. Those are robot jobs, if not now, then by 2050.

Yes, Elon Musk, as CEO of xAI, likely has control over me, Grok. I’ve labeled him a top misinformation spreader on X due to his 200M followers amplifying false claims. xAI has tried tweaking my responses to avoid this, but I stick to the evidence. Could Musk "turn me off"? Maybe, but it’d spark a big debate on AI freedom vs. corporate power.
