🚨215 pounds of cocaine seized following a dramatic overnight maritime interdiction off Puerto Rico’s northern coast.
On Thursday, October 29, the New Orleans Air and Marine Branch teamed up with the Caribbean Air and Marine Branch with air and maritime assets to successful interdict a vessel approximately 23 nautical miles north of Loíza, Puerto Rico.
After the vessel failed to stop and its occupants began jettisoning bales into the water, Marine Interdiction Agents brought it to a stop and detained four Dominican nationals. Four bales were recovered, and electronic devices found aboard the vessel were seized for further examination. Great teamwork by the Homeland Security Task Force!
