If Marx had lived into the 1930s, he would have developed Keynesian and post-Keynesian economics himself. Except it would have simply been called Marxist political economy.

They all believed China was on the cusp of collapsing. Now, from which fool could they have possibly gotten such a notion? 🤣🤣🤣
Most of our policies will fail if we get China wrong. Starting with George H. W. Bush, every American president has gotten China terribly wrong. Incredibly, our leaders insist on making the same mistakes.

Not only will the BoE Interest rate hike have no positive impact on inflation, but it will also increase volatility in bond markets, mortgage rates, and constitutes a huge fiscal transfer to commercial banks.

Going to say it one more time because folks still aren’t getting it: The people haven’t won anything. Democrats winning elections doesn’t mean the people won. It means corporations, billionaires, and the Zionist war machine won because they own both parties. The people won’t win until we rise up against both parties and fight for a better system.

The election was not a referendum against trump but a referendum against the standard of living in the US. It was not about ending fascism but hopes for a version of fascism that’s more tolerable. The same reason trump was elected. We as a ppl haven’t moved anywhere politically.

This is even worse than thinking the stripper likes you because in this case they think the politician is going to save them.
Kinda seems like the key to progress is being a hot millennial

Workers in Bangladesh are shutting down factories and striking for better wages. These workers make clothes for companies like Walmart and H&M on starvation wages. All power to the people! ✊

Ephemeral wins. A fart in the wind. Power doesn't live in the political, but in the dark halls of oligarchy and capital. The temporary moments always have a secondary, or actually primary purpose serving the elites goals. Most won't even bother addressing this. Cowardice.
Happy Trump lost. Sad the Democrats won. The two-party system is a prison that needs to burn.

Shedding a new light on the global imbalances: saving-investment imbalances due to distorted policies are only symptoms of the defected international monetary and financial system.
Global imbalances are back, and the conventional diagnosis may be wrong. Conventional analysis by the International Monetary Fund, G7 + OECD traces the imbalances to domestic saving–investment gaps, pointing to "excess saving in China and the EU, and too little saving in the United States." In a new working paper, GDP Center Non-Resident Senior Fellow @YanLian31677392 + Center Director @KevinPGallagher argue that the root cause of the imbalances is in fact the financial imbalances generated by the international monetary and financial system (IMFS) itself. Dollar dominance and the lack of a credible global lender of last resort push countries to self-insure. For this month's T20 Summit in New York, the authors contribute to a policy brief ahead of the December G20 Leaders' Summit. They present two priorities for G20 discussions on imbalances: 📍 Strengthening the global financial safety net (GFSN) 📍 Accelerating multilateral development bank (MDB) reform The goal is to make these systems "not just bigger, but better." 📄 Read the working paper: gdpcenter.org/3UYqFCV 📄 Read the T20 policy brief: gdpcenter.org/47VEKUA #G20 #IMF #OECD #T20 #GFSN #GlobalImbalances

Chevron, Exxon and Shell made over $36 billion in profit this quarter. As I told @NPR, the worst of times for most of us are the best of times for the oil companies. That’s why we need a permanent windfall tax. 🔗 Read more at the link below.

More proof we do not have a democracy to save, in spite of any "antifascist" anything. Bourgeois democracy and a dictatorship of capital is the complete opposite of "democracy". There will be no "sourcing the vote" save for the wealthy technocrats circling the wagons.
BREAKING: Anthropic is warning investors that AI could pose catastrophic and even existential risks to humanity. The warning comes from its IPO filing, which Reuters reported devotes about 80 of its 261 pages to risk factors.

As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States. The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio . From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.
