First day of the @ICED_2025 conference, the first time this event is held in Italy since infamous 1880 Milan Conference, where a ban on sign language in Deaf education was declared. Powerful and beautiful signed poem by Grace Giacubbo, Deaf artist and actress from Italy.

And a big thank you, to the @BPHACaucus for including this important initiative in this year's "People's Budget" which will support the retention of our specially trained teachers and support staff.
Salaries for our specialized staff consistently lag behind, making workforce retention a challenge. The @4201Schools are asking for a new $30M initiative to help us better align salaries with those offered by public school districts.
