the sheer cognitive dissonance I’ve seen from folks with “fuck nazis” tote bags posting medieval-style blood libels against Jews on their instagram stories has certainly been wild
I watched a lot of people march against fascism and then a few years later mindlessly scroll tiktok until they believed it's good to harass, demonize, ostracize, beat, and kill their Jewish neighbors. As if the original fascists thought they were the bad guys when they did it.

If your government adopts a policy to protect Jewish children from harassment, and your first instinct is to cast it as a sinister Zionist plot, you haven't exposed a conspiracy — you've exposed yourself as part of the UK's antisemitism problem.
The alacrity with which the government has accepted all 27 recommendations of a methodologically flawed report commissioned by an ex-Minister in hock to the Israel lobby & which was carried out by people with links to Israel advocacy is concerning.

If you need to see how far the left has fallen into a sewer of antisemitism, just look how they react towards a report written on the antisemitism Jewish schoolchildren experience in British schools. An appalling disgrace that no other community would be expected to tolerate.

i know it’s not technically the most pressing issue right now but i do think people are in denial when they say there hasn’t been a significant rise in antisemitism on the left. like i’ve seen otherwise normal people say insanely hateful Nazi shit out of nowhere all the time lol

I've had my criticisms of the government, but this step by Labour - making it clear that what the Greens have done has crossed a red line, and establishing a cordon sanitaire - is EXACTLY the right thing to do. And I'd like to know why the Lib Dems haven't done the same.

the Catholic Church backs the sciences and the arts. The Pope has a PhD in Mathematics. Catholicism is very realistic. Faith without works is dead. The science is the work. The Catholic Church has built thousands of hospitals and labs. that is the work. we pray but we work.
the pope has lung cancer and went straight to science lmao, why didn’t he pray himself to recovery? you people will tell yourselves the truth one day.

Catholic doctrine views science and medicine as complementary to faith (CCC 159). Historically, the Catholic Church played a pivotal role in creating the medieval university system and establishing organized public hospitals. britannica.com/topic/history-… vatican.va/archive/ENG001…

There is something special about #Sunderland. A city forged by the sea, shaped by shipbuilders and miners, and sustained by the spirit and resilience of its people. From the faith and learning of St Bede to the witness of St Benet Biscop, our Christian heritage runs deep. Our history reminds us that even after the darkest skies, hope always breaks through. Proud of our past, united in our present, and full of belief in our future. ❤️🤍

Anne Frank died of typhus in a concentration camp and Hind Rajab died terrified in a car and neither of them should have died and both of their deaths are awful and I don't think we need to make a competition out of dead children.
Anne Frank died of typhus. Hind Rajab died being directly shot by Jewish terrorists. Could these ghouls be any clearer that only Jewish lives matter to them?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Missing Context: Anne Frank is believed to have died during a Typhus epidemic at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp; said epidemic was estimated to have killed 17,000 other inmates of the camp. Anecdotal story about a Muslim man racially harassing a Jewish schoolgirl in an unnamed secondary school, supposedly in north London. None of this happened. 3,000 RTs so I guess nobody cares it's made-up to sow more division in a world with enough. I'll go through facts. /1
There was a situation at my daughter’s school last week which left her in tears. I went in to the school the day after to let them know we were removing her with immediate effect. The head teacher tried to explain but I had no interest in her excuses or reasons. The school had a play and an open evening for next year’s new pupils, and my daughter’s class were asked to take the potential new pupils and their parents for a tour of the school and classes. My daughter is the most softly spoken, polite and friendly child you’d probably ever meet. She’s one of just 40 Jewish pupils at the school out of over a thousand children. My wife wanted her to go to a non Jewish school because she felt concerned about the security threats at Jewish schools, and I don’t have much say in the matter as I’m just the dad. Our youngest goes to a Jewish school and the security simply isn’t anywhere good enough. This would be both their last year at school in this country because we’d already made the decision to leave the country before their next school year. My oldest wears a tiny discreet Star of David pendant. It’s so inoffensive to anybody but allows her to express her Jewish faith in a small way. When it was her turn in line to greet the family she would show around, the family was a Muslim family. My daughter has no personal issue with anybody and is friendly with two Muslim girls in her class who aren’t bothered by her being Jewish. But this family clearly were. In front of everyone, the father refused to be shown around by “a Jew”. He apparently, according to several parents and a teacher, raised his voice at her, and demanded that another child show them around. Instead of the head teacher condemning his behavior and telling him to leave, she asked my daughter to step aside and asked another pupil to show them around. Nobody except other parents, non Jewish parents, came to my daughter to ask if she was even ok. She was in a flood of tears, frightened and confused. My wife got a phone call from another parent and insisted she would go fetch our daughter because she already knew what I would do had I gone there myself. But this is what we live in now. This is the new normal. For reasons of what will come next, I won’t name the school. But this is going to escalate, a lot.

Prayer becomes effective when it reaches out to others. The charity born of the Holy Spirit is God’s love poured into our hearts: a love that takes shape in a commitment to life and service. This love must become the goal, the way, and the meaning of our lives.

#BREAKING🚨 With tears streaming down their faces and documents clutched in their hands, a numbers of homeless women and their young children in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, are crying out desperately for help. These mothers, as she says some of them widowed, are facing displacement and uncertainty, with nowhere safe to turn. A mother crying with load voice say: “Who will come to our rescue? Who will help us? We have thrown us out of our homes!” Afghan women and girls are already deprived of education, employment and fundamental freedoms. Now, more women and children are reportedly being forced from their homes, facing hunger, homelessness and despair. Where are the United Nations and international human rights organisations? The world must not abandon these mothers and children. This gender apartheid and crimes against humanity. #SaveAfghanWomen #FreeAfghanWomen #UN

This morning we payed Psalm 51 for him (to fully repent of his heinous crime) and for those who plan to make a spectacle of his execution (that they and those who plan to watch it may repent of this crime against human dignity).
Between now and December 3rd Christians should take some time to pray for the soul of the Fort Hood Shooter.

Yes, I agree. Polanski is the left’s Farage. A vain, divisive, populist, political charlatan who mistakes personal ambition for political conviction. Socialism is rooted in class solidarity, equality and the collective good. It is about changing the material conditions of ordinary people’s lives, not elevating personalities or exploiting grievances. Populism does not become progressive simply because it wraps itself in a green flag.
Exactly this. Zack Polanski has done a left wing Farage - but massively sped up. How long did it take Farage to overthrow a prime minister and force a major party to shift in his political direction? (He became UKIP leader in 2006)

Is Hamas Becoming a Global Identity Vehicle? Support for Hamas has morphed into a transnational phenomenon that is not just about being “pro-Palestine.” Instead, Hamas and what it represents have become a form of rebellious identity expression and a vessel for a sprawling mix of grievances: ideological, economic, cultural, and psychological. Its jihadist violence is being repackaged as a catch‑all outlet for anti‑Western, anti‑capitalist, anti‑white, and antisemitic politics. Whether it is leftism or Islamism, the “resistance” narrative that Hamas ostensibly represents has become quite a normalized interpretation of how to think about October 7 and the past two decades in Gaza, while erasing Palestinian agency, responsibility, and accountability. The inability to truly understand the complexities and actual details of the Israel and Palestine conflict is why so many support Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the Iranian regime, all of whom are somehow seen as correcting or challenging white-centric dominance and colonialism. The third anniversary of October 7 exposed the scale of this shift. Large crowds in American and European cities used the worst day for Jews since the Holocaust and the most disastrous day in Palestinian history to flaunt their support for violent Islamist extremism. To understand the extent to which the “pro-Palestine” industrial complex has mutated and created out-of-control monsters, consider how incredibly damaging and self-sabotaging the pro-Hamas rallies and actions were. They deliberately chose to brand the Palestinian cause as inseparable from the bloodshed, hostage‑taking, and fascistic jihad of 10/7. These Western pro‑Hamas demonstrators are erasing any distinction between Palestinians and a terror organization that has devastated Palestinian society far more than it ever harmed Israelis. Their behavior naturally triggers an instinctive backlash: a hardening of attitudes, a dismissal of Palestinian suffering, and a collapse of sympathy for legitimate Palestinian grievances. Compounding the problem is the statistically confirmed fact that large segments of the Arab, Muslim, and Palestinian diaspora communities have been unable or unwilling to counter this trend. Some have joined it outright, embracing the “resistance” narrative or hiding behind slogans like “this didn’t begin on October 7” to avoid confrontation with the anti‑Zionist machinery that dominates the “pro‑Palestine” space and to not be called “Zionists” or “traitors” by other members of the community. With diaspora communities paralyzed, universities compromised, and basic civic norms eroded, national‑level responses are now essential. Support for Hamas remains strong three years after October 7 and is growing more entrenched. Think ahead five or ten years: persistent economic strain, deeper ideological radicalization, and expanding networks of Islamist and far‑left extremism. What happens when those marching for Hamas begin entering governments, militaries, financial institutions, and other levers of power? What happens when already‑radicalized youth, with no off‑ramps, continue believing the West, Jews, and Zionists are their mortal enemies? Even if a tiny fraction – less than one‑tenth of one percent – turn to violence, the resulting instability could eclipse that of ISIS and al-Qaeda combined. A coordinated national strategy is overdue – not to suppress legitimate debate on Israel and Palestine, but to draw firm boundaries and stop tolerating the intolerable. This video shows just a small sample of pro-Hamas rallies in major US and European cities two days ago, on October 7.

To understand why the Green Party motion on Zionism was unacceptable, just listen to the views of the woman behind the motion and who only joined the Greens to pass it “We will continue until we dismantle Zionism from the world, from every country. They will be shunned and that time will come when they will be hunted in the same way the Nazi oppressor were …. It won’t happen without force”

Hugely significant statement has just been issued from the Church of England Interfaith Advisors, raising acute concerns about antisemitism in the UK, and the language and public narrative that fuels it. They vitally call for the Church, political leaders and wider society to take concrete action in order to counter this virulent tide of antisemitism. Please read and circulate widely- this is an important call from church leaders most experienced in interfaith 👇
