Yes you too can treat the case pictured below. Yes this patient was on dilaudid 24mg q4hrs, oxy 160mg TID, methadone TID, and ketamine pump with persistent severe pain despite all of this, yes they were discharged off ketamine drip with mild-moderate pain able to ambulate after an ablation/cementoplasty. Working on weaning some of the opiates.

Soon-to-be interns - this is important.
My typical advice to consolidate your federal student loans immediately after med school graduation does not apply this year.
Why?
Because normally this involves choosing an income-driven repayment plan.
Right now, we have no idea what IDR you'd be applying inTO.
And believe me - the current interns who applied for SAVE last year will tell you to avoid getting stuck in the IDR application quagmire.
So what's the solution?
We wait.
