Love does not require us to agree on everything. A relationship where one person must always adjust, stay quiet or give in may look peaceful from the outside.
But peace without honesty comes at a cost.

I think one of the biggest things holding India back is our fear of failure.
We’re taught to fear it from the time we’re young.
Students are pushed to breaking point because failing an exam feels like the end of the world.
We stay in marriages everyone knows aren’t working because leaving feels like failure.
People stay in jobs they hate because they’re terrified they won’t find another one.
We’ve built a society where the shame of failing often feels worse than the cost of staying stuck.
And to be fair to us, it comes from generations of scarcity. Too many people, too few opportunities. When survival is the priority, taking risks feels like a luxury.
But you cannot build a great country if its people are terrified of getting things wrong.
We don’t just need more ambition. We need to become a country where failure isn’t a life sentence.
And maybe that’s starts small, with how we react to our kids or people around us, when they fail.

I narrowed my life down to three priorities:
Health, because everything depends on it.
Family, because success means little if you have nobody to share it with.
Learning, because growth keeps life interesting.
Now every opportunity faces one question: Does it serve any of these three? If not, I let it pass. Try. These rules will never disappoint you.

I think @narendramodi govt is losing the battle of perceptions particularly on @instagram. Every day hundreds of propaganda reels are being made against the govt that is being forcibly pushed on the timelines of everyone, even when you don’t follow the makers. The platform has clearly picked a side. And @AshwiniVaishnaw’s ministry seems to be either clueless about it, or the babus are compromised. @blsanthosh

Two qualities I like to see in a medical student
Discipline - the consistency to keep showing up
Critical thinking - the ability to question everything & dig deeper to understand the why, not just memorize the what.
Medicine rewards those who think, not just those who remember

Stop frying your brain with endless short form content. Read long, complicated, books. Especially novels. Cultivate the ability to think deeply. To focus for long periods. Stare into space and enjoy boredom. Do tasks without any media playing in the background. Resist the urge to reach for your phone every time you feel uncomfortable. Get used to being with uncomfortable emotions instead. Wonder and think about the questions you have instead of asking AI. Become deeply present with everyone around you. Your ability to focus, pay attention, to think deeply, is one of your most valuable assets. Reclaim the immense beauty of experiencing your life directly instead of living it through a screen.

When did beating up doctors become a form of justice in Indian cinema? Watched the trailer of Sunny Deol’s upcoming film. He plays a man who suffers a medical mishap and then turns violent against hospital staff.
Only a trailer, I hear you. But the violence against Drs in it appears to be presented as justified, even satisfying. And that is what bothers me. I have been beaten black & blue by pts & attenders several times in life.
We already work under tremendous pressure. Attacks on healthcare workers keep making headlines. Against that backdrop, portraying a 'hero' assaulting hospital staff as a man delivering justice is deeply troubling to me. I see myself in that Dr being beaten.
Indian cinema hasn’t exactly been kind to doctors otherwise- We’re either comic relief or villains in these. Ask Ramana- Tamil film. You simply can't keep a dead body in the ICU & pretend to resuscitate, man! The body decomposes & spreads disease and a blood-curling smell that makes u vomit. But, as Rahul Dravid once quoted-" Y let truth come in the way of a nice story?"
Of course, there are bad doctors. They must be held accountable. Patients have legitimate grievances,& our healthcare system has serious failures that need fixing. But does that justify painting an entire profession with the same brush? There r bad engineers, bureaucrats , architects & police officers too. All of us come from the same society. Does that justify painting an entire profession, wicked?
I’m particularly tired of the casual assumption that medical tests are unnecessary. We order tests because we cannot see inside the human body. Unnecessary testing deserves criticism, certainly. But so does dismissing tests without understanding why they were advised. A missed diagnosis can cost far more than a scan or a blood test.
I don’t expect cinema to glorify doctors. Nor should it be expected to hide the failures of healthcare. But there is a difference between exposing wrongdoing and making violence look like justice. Arrogant, rich doctor Vs Poor innocent Patient angle makes a surefire hit in Cinema & fiction. NOT REALITY.
Weaponising Cinema against innocent Drs will fill ur coffers, a certain box-office hit. But, it is certain to multiply serious assaults on my doctor community.
- By a doctor, beaten, bruised, humiliated, but still standing on the ring. It is sheer will power, that holds me up against a behemoth-The all-pervasive Villain Dr fake myth.
