Jets likely without both T'Vondre Sweat and David Bailey
In the 20 carries when they both have not been on the field the Jets have allowed over 7 yards a carry and almost 3 yards before contact
Ashton Jeanty:
Jets run defense with T'Vondre Sweat on the field:
YPC allowed: 3.28
Yards before contact/att: 0.99
Rush success rate allowed: 38%
Without Sweat (77 att):
YPC allowed: 5.12
Yards before contact/att: 1.78
Rush success rate allowed: 52%
Without Sweat and David Bailey (20 att):
YPC allowed: 7.05
Yards before contact/att: 2.85
Sweat & Bailey have not practiced this week

Jack Bech's return might be bigger for the run game than the pass game, which you don't often say about a WR
but his replacements didn't come close to replacing his blocking
hopefully we see #18 in NY

Sources: The #Jets, #Colts, #Patriots, #Dolphins and #Texans all put in claims for former #Raiders DT Jonah Laulu.
But the #Titans landed him because they had the highest waiver priority.

The 26-year-old Laulu was very productive in Vegas, when he set the franchise record for most tackles (86) over the first 2 seasons.
this is a bummer. obviously the voice is way off but so is his energy
Madden was infectious. you could feel he loved the game and he loved people
he was a genius at making things that happened on the field relatable and compelling. none of that comes through here

#Raiders rookie OL Trey Zuhn III on getting reps at right guard at practice: "The team believes that I can get those reps there, so I'm gonna take those reps and be confident. I know I can do it."
Those crying over Spytek not trading for Nelson or Buckner aren't ready for this conversation
One thing that can be overlooked with NFL trades and "getting value" etc is ...
Guys like Quenton Nelson & DeForest Buckner have some say over where they go
No team wants to acquire someone who is predisposed not to re-sign, might not be happy, etc
A team like the Colts could be honoring their wishes to some extent
Raiders aren't facing league-high man coverage because of the WRs
this is far more Cousins related + lack of a run game
Tucker & Nailor both among league leaders in separation vs. man
Cousins more adept at picking apart zones + he's not a run threat
Through seven weeks, the #Raiders are facing man coverage at the third-highest rate in the league on all downs (29.1%) and on third down (42.9%), too.
League average man coverage usage:
- All downs = 24%
- 3rd downs = 34.8%
Per Sumer Sports.
likely either Cody White or Dareke Young gets the boot after Jack Bech is activated
guessing it's White now that his magic seems to have faded and they seem to value Young's special teams ability
Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner are ideal players at Raiders 2-biggest needs, but I get not trading for them
hard to give up picks for players in their 30s on expiring deals at this stage of the rebuild
glad Dont'e Thornton earned a roster spot
i was not at all impressed with what I saw his rookie year. 40 time didn't show up on film and didn't display the body control needed to make his length a weapon
maybe these things show up more as the game slows down for him though

The Raiders have activated WR Dont’e Thornton Jr. to the 53-man roster.
Jonah Laulu’s release was the corresponding move.
