We’re pleased to share that we have brought another safe and successful shipping season to a close. The final convoy left Milne Port on October 10, 2026, at 6:30 pm. This year, we safely loaded 48 ore-carrying vessels, including 4 Capesize and 8 Baby Capesize ships. These Capesize ships are more than twice the size of our other carriers, which allow us to move more cargo with fewer ships, fewer transits and lower CO2 emissions. As in previous years, we implemented strict adaptive mitigation measures, including delaying the start of the shipping season until icebreaking was no longer required, vessels travelled in convoys, when possible, to reduce overall underwater sound, and ships continued to limit their speeds to an industry leading 9 knots. These measures were reached in direct response to ongoing consultation with Inuit and in full compliance with our commitments. As in years past, this shipping season also included several monitoring programs including the Marine Mammal Aerial Survey Program (MMASP) and the Rocky Reef and Aquatic Invasive Species and Non-Indigenous Species (AISNIS) Program. Thank you to all Baffinland team members who worked diligently to make this year’s shipping season a success! ᖁᕕᐊᓱᒃᑐᒍᑦ ᑐᓴᖃᑎᒌᒍᑎᖃᕆᐊᒃᓴᖅ ᐱᔭᕇᖅᐸᓪᓕᐊᓕᕐᓂᑦᑎᓐᓂᒃ ᐊᑦᑕᕐᓇᙱᑦᑐᒃᑯᑦ ᐊᒻᒪ ᑲᔪᓯᓂᖃᑦᑎᐊᖅᑐᒃᑯᑦ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᖃᕐᓇᒥᒃ ᒪᑐᕙᓪᓕᐊᓕᖅᖢᓂ. ᑭᖑᓪᓕᖅᐹᑦ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᑭᖑᓕᕇᑦᑎᐊᖑᓪᓗᑎᒃ ᐊᑕᐅᑦᑎᒃᑰᖅᑐᑦ ᐊᐅᓪᓚᓚᐅᖅᑐᑦ ᕿᙳᐊᓂ ᑐᓚᒃᑕᕐᑯᖕᒥ ᐅᑐᐃᕆ 10, 2026-ᒥ, 6:30. ᑕᒪᑐᒪᓂ ᐊᕐᕌᒍᒥ, ᐊᑦᑕᕐᓇᙱᑦᑐᒃᑯᑦ ᐅᓯᓕᖅᓱᐃᓯᒪᓕᖅᑐᒍᑦ 48-ᓂᒃ ᓴᕕᒃᓴᓂ-ᐅᓯᔪᒃᓴᓂᒃ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᓂ, ᐃᓚᐅᓪᓗᑎᒃ 4 ᐊᖏᔪᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᓂᒃ ᐊᒻᒪ 8 ᒥᑭᓐᓂᖅᓵᕐᔪᒃ ᐊᖏᔪᕐᔪᐊᓂᑦ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᓂᒃ. ᑖᒃᑯᐊ ᐊᖏᔪᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᐅᖓᑖᓂ ᒪᕐᕈᐊᖅᑎᓪᓗᐊᖅ ᐊᖏᓂᖅᓴᐅᒧᑦ ᐊᓯᖏᓐᓂ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᖑᔪᓂᑦ, ᐊᐅᓪᓚᖅᑎᑦᑎᔪᓐᓇᖅᖢᑕ ᐊᖏᓂᖅᓴᓂᒃ ᐅᓯᓗᑎᒃ ᐅᓄᖅᑐᐃᙱᓐᓂᖅᓴᐅᓗᑎᒃ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᑦ, ᐃᖏᕐᕋᔭᓗᐊᙱᓐᓂᖅᓴᐅᓪᓗᑎᒃ ᐊᒻᒪ ᐱᓗᐊᙱᓐᓂᖅᓴᐅᓪᓗᑎᒃ ᐸᐅᒃᓴᓂᒃ ᐃᓯᐊᕿᓃᑦ. ᐊᕐᕌᒎᓯᒪᔪᓂ, ᐊᑐᓕᖅᑎᑦᑎᓯᒪᔪᒍᑦ ᒪᓕᒃᑕᐅᔭᕆᐊᖃᓪᓚᕆᒃᑐᓂᒃ ᐋᖅᑭᒡᕕᖃᐃᓐᓇᖅᑐᒥᒃ ᐸᓚᐅᒪᑎᑦᑎᓇᓲᑎᓂᒃ, ᐃᓚᐅᓪᓗᑎᒃ ᑭᖑᕙᕆᐊᖅᓯᒪᓂᖓ ᐱᒋᐊᕐᕕᖓ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᖃᕐᓇᐅᑦ ᑭᓯᐊᓂ ᓯᑯᓂᒃ ᐊᔭᐅᖅᑐᐃᓃᑦ ᐊᑐᖅᑕᐅᔭᕆᐊᖃᕈᓐᓃᕈᑎᒃ, ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᐃᖏᕐᕋᓗᑎᒃ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᑭᖑᓕᕇᑦᑎᐊᖑᓪᓗᑎᒃ ᐊᑕᐅᑦᑎᒃᑰᖅᑐᑦ, ᐊᔪᕐᓇᙱᒃᑳᖓᑦ, ᐱᓗᐊᖁᙱᖢᒋᑦ ᑕᒪᐃᓐᓄᓕᒫᖅ ᐃᒫᓂ ᓂᐱᖃᖅᑐᑦ, ᐊᒻᒪ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᑦ ᑭᒡᓕᓕᖅᓯᓯᒪᐃᓐᓇᖅᑐᑦ ᓱᒃᑲᓕᓂᖏᓐᓂᒃ ᓴᓇᕝᕕᐅᔪᒥ ᐊᑐᖅᑕᐅᓪᓗᐊᑕᖅᑐᒥ 9 ᓈᓐᑦ. ᑕᒪᒃᑯᐊ ᐱᓕᕆᔾᔪᓰᑦ ᑎᑭᐅᑎᓯᒪᔪᑦ ᑭᐅᔭᐅᓪᓚᑦᑖᕋᓱᒃᖢᑎᒃ ᑐᓴᕋᓱᐊᕐᕕᐅᖏᓐᓇᖃᑦᑕᖅᑎᓪᓗᒋᑦ ᐃᓄᐃᑦ ᐊᒻᒪ ᐊᑕᖏᕐᓗᒋᑦ ᒪᓕᖁᓪᓗᒋᑦ ᐱᓂᐊᕐᓂᕋᕈᑎᑦᑎᓐᓂᒃ. ᐊᕐᕌᒎᓯᒪᔪᓂ, ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᖃᖃᑦᑕᕐᓂᖅ ᐱᖃᓯᐅᔾᔨᓯᒪᔪᖅ ᐊᒥᓱᒐᓚᖕᓂᒃ ᖃᐅᔨᓴᖅᐸᓪᓕᐊᖏᓐᓇᕐᓂᕐᒧᑦ ᐱᓕᕆᐊᓂᒃ ᐃᓚᐅᓪᓗᑎᒃ ᑕᕆᐅᒥᑦ ᐳᐃᔩᑦ ᖃᖓᑕᓲᒃᑯᑦ ᖃᐅᔨᓴᕐᓃᑦ ᐱᓕᕆᐊᓂᒃ (MMASP) ᐊᒻᒪ ᐃᑲᕐᕈᙳᖅᑎᑕᐅᔪᑦ, ᐃᒫᓂᓗ ᑎᑭᑉᐸᒃᑐᑦ ᐆᒪᔪᕋᓛᑦ (AIS) / ᑕᒫᓂᕐᒥᐅᑕᐅᙱᑦᑐᑦ ᐆᒪᔪᓄᑦ (NIS) ᐱᓕᕆᐊᓂᒃ. ᖁᔭᓐᓇᒦᖅᑕᐃᓐᓈᓗᒃᐳᑦ ᐃᓘᓐᓇᑎᒃ ᐹᕙᓐᓛᓐᑯᓐᓂᑦ ᐱᓕᕆᖃᑎᒌᓄᑦ ᐃᓚᒋᔭᐅᔪᑦ ᐱᓕᕆᑦᑎᐊᖏᓐᓇᕐᓂᖏᓐᓄᑦ ᑕᒪᑐᒪᓂ ᐊᕐᕌᒍᒥ ᐅᒥᐊᕐᔪᐊᖃᕐᓇᖅ ᑲᔪᓯᓂᖃᑦᑎᐊᖁᓪᓗᒍ! #Baffinland #MaryRiverProject #NorthBaffin #ArcticEnvironment #MarineMonitoring #Nunavut #Mining

🇰🇷 Korea’s Next-Generation Icebreaker: Science for a Changing Arctic ajupress.com/view/2026091111… South Korea has begun building its second research icebreaker, scheduled to enter Arctic service in 2030. The 16,560-ton vessel will have about 50% greater icebreaking capability than Araon, able to break 1.5-meter-thick ice at 3 knots and operate in temperatures as low as –45°C. With LNG–MGO dual-fuel propulsion, modular research facilities, and a moon pool, it will support studies of sea ice, oceans, marine ecosystems, fisheries, and seafloor geology across the High Arctic. Together with Araon, the new vessel is expected to expand Korea’s annual polar research voyage days from about 85 to 270. But this is about more than building a stronger ship. As the Arctic changes, the world needs better observations, deeper knowledge, and stronger international cooperation. A research icebreaker carries more than scientists and equipment—it carries our shared responsibility to understand a changing planet. #Arctic #PolarScience #Icebreaker #ClimateScience #OceanScience #Korea #InternationalCooperation

🇺🇦🚢 The fifth Antarctic season of the Ukrainian research ice class vessel Noosfera has officially come to an end. On 28 May 2026, the vessel returned to Cape Town, South Africa, after completing its most ambitious season yet — and setting multiple records along the way. 🔹 More than 7 months at sea 🔹 9 Antarctic voyages completed 🔹 18 crossings of the legendary Drake Passage 🔹 Over 30,000 nautical miles traveled — farther than the Earth’s equator This season also marked a historic milestone for Ukraine’s Antarctic research: Noosfera crossed the Polar Circle twice to conduct scientific work in Marguerite Bay, expanding Ukraine’s research area farther south than ever before. On board, Ukrainian scientists together with international colleagues studied the impact of climate change on the Southern Ocean — from marine heatwaves and geological history to changes in marine ecosystems and microbial loop interactions. The season became a record-breaker for international cooperation as well. Ukraine collaborated with Poland, Czechia, the UK, the USA, Canada, Colombia, and Mexico. In particular, Noosfera and Vernadsky base hosted the First Mexican Antarctic Expedition, strengthening scientific ties between our countries. The vessel also traditionally carried out the crew rotation for the 30th and 31st Ukrainian Antarctic Expeditions and transported seasonal teams to and from Vernadsky station. This demanding mission was accomplished by a team of Ukrainian sailors led by captains Pavlo Panasiuk and Andrii Starish, skillfully navigating storms and iceberg-filled waters. “Noosfera has become not only a symbol of Ukraine’s openness to new international partnerships, but also a place where global science is developed together to protect the fragile ecosystems of our planet,” said Evhen Dykyi, Director of the National Antarctic Scientific Center. What a season. ❄️🌎
