On this day—October 27, 1984
Israel began the covert airlift that would bring 8,000 Ethiopian Jews out of Sudanese refugee camps to their ancestral homeland.
Israel saw them face famine, civil war, and persecution, and then acted.
It was the first major modern rescue of an ancient Jewish community that had lived in isolation for centuries.
Israel is the only country that brought black Africans out of Africa en masse not in chains, but as full citizens.

Stop saying Abdul El Sayed "disavowed" that antisemitic ad. He didn't—he couldn't—because he agrees with every word of it and spent his entire primary espousing the exact same view: All your problems stem from Israel and the Jews who support it.

In Israel, Muslims had the highest voter turnout out of any group.
Under Palestinian rule, it’s literally illegal to sell land to a Jew.
Guess which is accused of apartheid?

Tasmanian Parliament.
We had reserved seats inside the House Assembly Chamber, where Ministers were debating a “conversion practices” bill.
The last one is on the steps of Parliament, where a mob was allowed to assault and abuse a group of women that included Kellie-Jay Keen.
@ThePosieParker this one is for you.

Guess who showed up at Chase Center for Game 5 of the Valkyries playoffs? 👀
Our group of 6 women received some thumbs-up (even applause). We handed out flyers, had some good conversations, and of course, dealt with our fair share of crazies.
More video out soon. Our flyer ⬇️

A particularly gnarly porn site that got taken down for hosting videos of women and children being sexually abused while they slept was called "Motherless". That word is not random. The site logo was a silhouette of a mother holding a child's hand with a big red bar through it.
(Funny coincidence: the site was being hosted in the Netherlands)

I understand HR don't tell Mr Rattley not to wear massive fake tits (sorry, "double-eye-bags") while teaching, because no one has complained about it. But why should the onus be on students to confront the situation, with it's obvious power imbalance?

Zipping around Tasmania with @WomenSpeakTas , I found this in the car of the lovely woman who’s driving.
I had never seen this card before.
Bloody hell, @salltweets I’m so sorry.

The U.S. Supreme Court established that Title IX is based on sex rather than gender identity. Title IX was infringed upon because lawmakers decided biological sex was irrelevant. For women’s rights to exist, biological sex must take precedence. You can’t claim to be in favor of Title IX if you do not acknowledge biological sex.

In France, they riot and loot "for Palestine." In the Middle East, they kill "for Palestine." The Islamic regime in Iran attacks Jews, Christians, and Muslims "for Palestine." Hamas committed the October 7 genocide in Israel "for Palestine." At some point, perhaps we should stop asking where the problem is and start noticing the rather obvious pattern.
The clue has been repeated four times.

Alle minderheden dus inclusief Arabieren en Druzen stemmen in Israel maar bij Jinek dramt er eentje over apartheid.

Bullshit alert. Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza should be voting in Palestinian elections. But the Palestinian Authority has refused to hold elections since 2006. And the Hamas terrorists in Gaza haven't held elections since seizing power in 2007.
This is the classic deception of so many Palestinian activists: blame Israel while pretending Palestinians have no agency or responsibility for their own future.
Bram retweeted
Well would you look at that.
Arab Muslim Israelis, in Israel, lining up… TO VOTE.
It’s actually really funny, because do you know where Arab Muslims DO NOT get to vote? Samaria and Judea, or Gaza. The Palestinian Authority cancelled the election, again. 20 years now there have been none.
Because “apartheid” in Israel of course 🙄
One day, in the very distant future, the entire world will realize how they have been duped by the lies of these Arab propagandists and their western supporters.

Think how profoundly disconnected from reality the people who yell about apartheid are.
Nowhere else in the Middle East do Arab Muslims vote in free and fair elections like this.

Former BBC Panorama producer @philcraig says the Beeb has been taken over by a “radical generation” and that “all the mistakes” in its Gaza coverage “seem to be in the same direction.”
He points to the al-Ahli hospital blast, when the BBC rushed to blame Israel for what turned out to be a misfired Hamas rocket, and warns this kind of poor journalism has helped fan fires around the world — including literal fires at synagogues.

Show this to the next person who talks about apartheid in Israel. The country’s two Arab parties have won a record number of seats in the Knesset and that could make them “kingmakers” in any new coalition.
I’d wager that most pro-Palestine activists don’t even realize that more than a million Arab Israelis are eligible to vote and that they have their own parties.
Bram retweeted
They called it apartheid. The ballot box called them liars. Arab and Muslim parties are winning 17 seats in Israel’s parliament, the Knesset. Arab turnout was above 70% in town after town. Wait, I thought Zionists were racist, so how come these “racists” are giving parliamentary seats to Arabs and Muslims, who, in turn, came out to vote? Some villages hit 90% turnout.
They democratically participated and voted in a Zionist democratic system they believe in?
Arabs now hold about 14% of Israel’s parliament. Muslim MPs hold about 4% of Britain’s. Odd kind of apartheid, where the “oppressed” vote harder than London does.

This is a watershed moment and it passed by almost unnoticed. Here we have British cops threatening a man with arrest for being “openly Jewish” at a pro-Hamas rally. Being Jewish in public where Muslims can see you in Sadiq Khan’s London is now officially a crime. Never mind that he’s standing quietly with his hands in his pockets while people chant “Nazi scum” at him: he’s visibly Jewish, which makes him clearly in the wrong.
Also worth noting: the fact that the cops, apparently incapable of preventing violence as long as this man is antagonizing the crowd by breathing Jewishly at them, have decided that the best way to deal with the problem of violent antisemitism is to side with the antisemitic mob. Arresting a Jew, whose very existence is an act of Islamophobia, is so much safer than protecting him and his right to be openly Jewish in 21st century Britain.
