Anyone that has DC next to their name is instantly disqualified in my eyes.
Who I want as Jets head coach after Aaron Glenn is fired:
1. 49ers: Klay Kubiak, OC
2. Jaguars: Grant Udinski, OC
3. Rams: Kliff Kingsbury, Assistant HC
4. Rams: Nate Scheelhaase, OC
5. Free Agent: Mike Tomlin
6. Panthers: Brad Idzik, OC
7. Vikings: Brian Flores, DC
8. Broncos: Vance Joseph, DC
9. Ravens: Declan Doyle, OC
10. Bears: Press Taylor, OC
Honorable Mention:
Falcons: Tommy Rees, OC
Lions: Drew Petzing, OC
Bills: Pete Carmichael, OC
Chiefs: Eric Bieniemy, OC
Seahawks: Aden Durde, DC
Free Agent: Sean McDermott
49ers: Raheem Morris, DC
Bears: Dennis Allen, DC
... who do you think Woody Johnson & Darren Mougey should hire?
Carlie is cooking up some more trades for the Colts, to help the Jets get the #1 pick
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.
It sorta makes sense for Jordan Love to be in a Super Bowl on Valentine’s Day, but who would the Packers be playing against?
The Colts fire sale has begun.
Please go out and get us the first pick in the draft.

Imagine being a top drafted WR and having Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle, Justin Fields and Geno Smith as your QBs and a 41 year old Aaron Rodger who brought his boyfriend over with him. #Jets
I don’t consider myself a “ball knower” but I do watch a lot of football.
I was screaming at the TV to call a damn time out.
If I know this AG either knew it and just gave up on the first half or he is way too stuck in defensive coach mind and didn’t realize it as the HC
How the Jets could have handled the final 2 minutes of the 1st half differently:
Malik Willis scrambles for a 1st down in bounds. Jets could have called timeout here at 1:53. It is also reasonable if they want to wait for the next in bounds play to start calling timeouts.
1st and 10 handoff to Gordon ends at 1:10 in bounds. Definitely would have called a timeout here. By not calling timeout, you are effectively guaranteeing the Dolphins get the final meaningful possession of the first half.
From this point on, you would call timeout after each in bounds play to give yourself a plausible path to getting the ball back. There is still a chance the Dolphins run the whole half out, but you at least leave an opening to get it back.
Say they had called timeout at 1:10. They would then call timeout at 1:03 after the Dulcich play down to the 5 yard line. Down to one timeout left.
Miami throws incomplete on 1st and goal. DPI and new 1st down. Took 4 seconds off the clock so assume the clock now reads 59 seconds.
Miami runs on 1st and goal from the 1. Stuffed. Jets would call their final timeout here. 55 seconds left.
Miami scores on 2nd down. Would leave 49 seconds left for the Jets.
Yes, Miami may have handled the sequence differently if the Jets had used their timeouts. The principle still stands that there was no chance of any real time left based on how the Jets handled it.
I was telling my wife we need Joe in Clark to find a way into the Jets front office, because he has been right about everything the past 7 years.
I was telling someone at my tailgate today that the Jets need to find a way to get Connor Rogers into their front office in a legitimate decision-making role. His football knowledge, combined with his lifelong passion for the Jets and understanding of what this franchise needs, is invaluable. I’d genuinely feel more confident about the direction of this team knowing he had a voice in the decisions being made for the Jets. @ConnorJRogers

The brown bags return.
Football is so important to me. After my family, it takes up most of my time year-round—radio shows, podcasts, Spaces, articles, subscriptions, you name it.
I’ve learned to enjoy the NFL as a whole because every year my team, the Jets, are completely irrelevant. It’s sad and pathetic that for the past 17 years they haven’t made the playoffs. Most of those years they haven’t even made it past Halloween.
Every year I know they’ll be horrible, but it still doesn’t ease the pain when it happens. No matter what they do, who they draft, or who they hire, they can’t win.
I knew they wouldn’t be good this year; I predicted 5-12, but I don’t even think they’ll win that many. It makes no sense how people can still say Aaron Glenn isn’t the worst coach in the league.
I wanted him to do well, not just for him but for me and every fan here who feels the same pain. The visceral feeling I get each October from this team is sickening. I’ve honestly never been more ashamed of anything in my life.
How could I hate something so much yet still love it?
Another wasted NFL season. #Jets

Locker room scene: Geno Smith and Garrett Wilson, among the last players around, emerge from the shower at the same time, talking to each other as they head to their lockers. #Jets
